'SNL' Head Writer Colin Jost Succeeds Seth Meyers as Weekend Update Anchor

The current Saturday Night Live head writer Colin Jost has been picked to succeed Seth Meyers as the current host of the famous weekly Weekend Update sketch, Deadline reports!

Seth‘s last show is slated for February 1, where he will leave to focus on his new late night show.

Colin will co-anchor with current cast member Cecily Strong.

Colin was the youngest writer to ever be hired at SNL back in 2005 at the age of 22 right out of Harvard.

You may recognize Colin - he is linked to Rashida Jones. The two were spotted linking arms and are believed to be dating.

    All these changes and shifts all because Leno is retiring. I’m going to miss watching Leno. He had been one of my favorite go-2′s.

    He looks more like a model – he better be good. Well, I never thought Seth Meyers was that good so maybe the bar is not too high.
