Bruno Mars: Super Bowl Halftime Show 2014 (Video) - WATCH NOW!

Bruno Mars gives an amazing and high-energy performance during the 2014 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show held on Sunday (February 2) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The 28-year-old singer started the show by having a children’s chorus sing his verse from the song “Billionaire” before he hopped on stage for a drum solo.

Bruno then went into his songs “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure,” “Runaway Baby,” “Give it Away” with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and finally his song “Just the Way You Are,” which began with a tribute to army families.

Even though it was freezing cold in New Jersey, both the RHCP lead singer Anthony Kiedis and band member Flea went shirtless. Brrrrr!!!

WHAT DID YOU THINK of the Bruno Mars halftime show?

I thought it was great. Though I like BM, the RHCP made it for me.

  • Rose

    Awesome!!!! Love Bruno Mars!

  • Rosemary

I thought it was fantastic, reminds me of the good old rock and roll days without too much of the gimmicks many new artists use. Fun, Awesome

  • Alex

Yes, Flea went shirtless but he’s the bass player for RHCP.
Anthony Kiedis was rocking some amazing leggings and shirtless but an amazing show. :D

  • yawn

The Red Hot Chili Peppers should have been the header of the Super Bowl.

  • YoFo:)

I enjoyed Bruno’s performance. Just Bruno, his band, and his talent…and of course, having the RHCP doesn’t hurt, haha. Love Bruno Mars!

  • KC :)

I enjoyed Bruno’s performance. Just him, his band, and his talent. And of course, having the RHCP doesn’t hurt either, haha. Love Bruno Mars!

  • mrs jimmie degive

Bruno is the only entertainer that is worth a darn. I paid 200 dollars to see him and would do it again when he comes to Atlanta. Yea for Bruno

  • mrs jimmie degive

love that bruno went back to his original hair style but he is gorgeous anyway inside and out and has beautiful sisters as was his mother. Just stay the way you are Bruno You have it all.

  • babe

Best halftime show in a while. No gimmicks…just straight music. Bruno Mars is the total package!

Boring? Your soul must be dead! Bruno developed his stage skills in the shadows of his musical family at a very young age in Hawaii. He is the epitome of “live music”! and performance! Bruno’s talent is undeniable! You are extremely jealous!

  • Norma Knox

I wouldn’t change a thing……it was amazzzzzzing just the way it was….I love bruno.

  • Barb H

What a gracious and awesome performer…Half time show was oneof the best I caught myself even smiling in the middle of it ….truly enjoyed the show

  • heaven jones

  • heaven jones

@john shlong: your soo righti totally agree with you

  • Anon

    Great job!!

  • Vee

Awesome show . I love both groups!!! Very entertaining .

  • Sayer

Bruno killed it. I loved the James Brown tribute. He’s a great vocalist and the most talented make performer right now. No one gives a liver performance better than he and Pink.

  • Ted

Great lights etc. but kinda boring, been there done that. Overdone, generally waste of money/conspicuous consumption that will keep the USA hated by so many people in poorer countries.England and Germany in there time did same thing. Even Charles Lindberg and many other from USA fell for Nazi German’s wealth and extravagance. Do we want to be remembered with Germany in this regard?

I specifically wanted to watch Bruno Mars. He’s just a great entertainer. He was great on Saturday Night Live and also did a great job. I couldn’t believe it. I certainly do not see any “wimp” in him. You can tell by his songs and his emotion that he does well with the ladies. Plus, he’s got “the moves.” Bruno Mars’ voice is pretty powerful. I mean, he sounded fantastic live, and few singers do — especially in a stadium. I love his band and the way they dance and have the crowd happy and feeling good. That reminded me of the Motown era. Just Super!

  • Curious…..

@heaven jones: And what entertainer would you suggest?

  • Frenchy

    It was good!

  • mrst

He rocked it out, souled it out and popped it out. Go Bruno!!!

  • They Rock!

@Sayer: You got that right! I wish someone who is very talented would produce a duet for Bruno Mars and Pink! You can’t touch them!

  • micah

Bruno Mars is the best!! Pure vocal ability…..pure talent… gimmicks.

  • Micah Andres

Bruno Mars is the best!! Pure talent…pure vocal….No Gimmicks.

  • Ted

Curious, I’m not arguing about which entertainer. But the way the whole superbowl is overdone. A 30″ Bud commercial is $4 million. An average persons LIFETIME salary in US equals about 10″ of that. I don’t identify with that, do you?

  • ADC143

It stunk. Bruno and his music are cheesy. It was like watching a Muppet Show parody of Prince…a really boring one. The RHCP should have been the main headliners instead of him.

  • DeniseMarie

Bruno Mars was fantastic! I loved the halftime show more than other years. I really just wish it could have been longer. He chose good songs but he has so many he could have shown his other styles of music to shut the mouths of those who call him a wimp. He was being respectful of the prime-time hour and left the other songs out.

  • Joanie

Loved Bruno, could have done without the RHCP.

  • 55vineyard

Great show, watched it at my neighbor’s place since my TV is on the fritz and Directv cannot get out until tomorrow due to high demand.

  • JMF

Mars is a true-to-the-soul ENTERTAINER who has a wonderful capacity to meld retro old-school with contemporary style. A great job w/o the typical lip-synch that usually marks these events.

I was so disgusted with USA Today’s online review of Mars’ performance (Chase), that I took time to email the paper to jettison the no-talent writer.

  • Chris

Really??? No sexy women in any of the performances? Or maybe I missed it when I went to get some more beer…WTF?

  • Creent1978

my buddy’s ex-wife makes $85 hourly on the internet . She has been without a job for 6 months but last month her payment was $19175 just working on the internet for a few hours. read here fox800.com

  • Chris

Creent nobody gives a damn single f+uck about your buddy’s ex-wife. Get a life.

  • Mark

    Well done!

  • Micah Andres

You’re bored because you don’t understand what real talent is. Or maybe you are just totally ignorant.

  • Micah

I disagree with you. It’s very entertaining and Bruno Mars is AWESOME!!!!

  • Micah

    @john shlong:

I’m sure you’re wimpy person too. You’re just pretending to be tough.
Bruno Mars is very entertaining. And the vocal ability …is incredibly unique.

  • Gloria E.

I loved the show. Bruno Mars was excellent. His show was so exciting that I got out of my chair and started dancing. It was a joy to watch him. I cannot wait to see him on tour. Love Bruno!

  • alie

    Goose bumps!

So nice to listen to a voice or voices without autotune.

    Great job Bruno and friends.

  • Rosario

Didn’t get to see it during half time but did see it on line and looked really awsome. I know by her comments my daughter cried while watching it during half time. I understand why she loves him he is an excellent performer no dought. I don’t know about the negitive comments they say but I think if there are any it’s gelousy because who would not want to perform like that and still be down to earth. GREAT PERFORMER AND ENTERTAINER BY FAR GREAT SINGER. I will start buying his CD’s for me also even though I am 51 I think I know a great artist when I see and hear one. My deepest blessings for you Mr. Bruno Mars (love you).
