He’s already done filming his part in DOATG and is back in LA shooting TB.

  • Cafélady

So the info I’ve read recently on a website is correct – obviously he is back in L.A. to start his work on TB S7…
    …somehow I miss the mustache… :)

  • Cari

Kind of hard to go incognito when you are 6’4″ and drive a Porsche.

  • Jilian

    lol @Cari
    spot on!

  • maria

great to see him again!he has a adidas sponsor?because he always used nike and now he is all adidas.

  • Slinky the Cat

Mmmm…good to see his hotness out and about. I’ve missed him!

  • Nadja

    Yuuum :P

  • Cafélady

@maria: Perhaps he likes both brands? I doubt, that he thinks about it, how he could come across (as a advertising icon, for instance) at all – or what people could think about his clothing in general, when he steps out of the door…
Looks more as if he was at the gym first, and drove directly from there to the gas station then…

@ladybug:…so this is also the ‘incognito hoodie’ now – instead of the ‘beanie of invisibility’… ;)

  • ladybug

@Cafélady: He could have been at the gym, coming back from the set, etc.
Well, he’s not worn the beanie of invisibility for a while, it’s been some variation of the black cap of invisibility for some time now. They’ve worked better the last 6 weeks than they’ve had for awhile, since he’s only been papped twice since his return to California.

Reliable website: if you’re getting you’re ‘official’ news from ASnet, then they’re accurate, since they’re the only one now that has contact with his management. AS news did but she took everything down in October.

Some more pics of Alex looking grumpy from yesterday:

    http://characteristicallyexuberant.tumblr.com/tagged/alexander-skarsgard

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: …sure, he could have been elsewhere before he drove to the gas station – but coming back from the set… I would rather say, no. Because this isn’t really a usual streetwear you would wear for going to/from work. It’s more an leisure suit you wear at home…or for said gym. Not that it would be soo important now…LoL

That’s why I said it – since we haven’t seen the beanie of invisibility for a good while. And yes – I also noticed it, that at the moment the preferred thing is the black ‘hammarby’ cap, obviously.

And that they papped him only two times since he is back…may be, he is getting better to fly under the radar – even with driving a porsche, which isn’t a rare sight in L.A., according to my US-family, because in L.A. are lots of people who drive such a car. And it isn’t even the most expensive there. So it might be, that it isn’t so easy to find him for the paps – at least more difficult than some people here seems to believe…

Reliable website: bingo – it was ASnet. I have seen that ASnews stopped their work – but have no idea what could happened (did they said something about the reasons?) because I didn’t followed their site for a good while. I saw it relatively late – that the site no longer exists.

  • ladybug

@Cafélady: Well, remember for his work he has to change into Eric, so he can wear whatever he wants to going there and coming back. But yeah, it doesn’t really matter, at least we got to see him, even if he’s not happy to see the pap.
ASNews never gave any explanation as to why she stopped. As she’d slowly been doing less and less, even with some help, I wouldn’t be surprised if the amount of work she was doing was interfering with real life and/or just tiring after several years.

And here’s hoping that we get more info soon on when the WWTW documentaries will air and news on Tarzan.

  • J

Back in la 2 c his 20 yr old model bottle chick GF kathrina damm

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: That’s surely a point – that he has to change his clothes anyway, to become eric on the set. Anyway – not necessarily a usual outfit for an working day. But whatever…
And yes, it’s nice to see something new of him – but to me it’s only the half joy, if he really was grumpy because the pap.

ASnews: yes, that’s an imaginable explanation. I liked her site (and also the tumblr. site they started later – may be that that was the ‘one drop too much’ for her time) – but followed not regularly, also because they hadn’t had often new pics and news of him (like this one here for example). I remember they said this once on the site, I believe – that they wouldn’t support pap-pics and rumor-spreading about his private life. Which is totally ok, of course.
And finally – there are or were, a lot of fan-sites who are dedicated to him, so it’s difficult to follow them all, of course. Usually you have to decide between a few things – what you want to follow.

…but I have to admit; it would also bother me a bit, if the pap’s would constantly follow me and would pap me at such common things like an gas station visit…somehow that’s really crazy…
I feel less uncomfortable with the pics who he makes for and with the fans, for instance. And of course, the pics from official appearances.

The WWTW documentary is also something where I’m looking forward too. And Tarzan: I hope the project didn’t ‘died’ meanwhile – they negotiate about that since a good while…

  • ladybug

@Cafélady: ASNet won’t do pap pics either. But as you wrote, there are other fans sites/gossip sites that will.

As for Tarzan, there have been a few rumors again about casting, so I suspect that may be closer to being greenlit. Hopefully! I think everyone involved would probably just like a definitive ‘yes’ or ‘no’ at this point.

As for WWTW I don’t think we’ll see much of Alex (or the Americans) in the ITN/British documentary, though we might see some of them near the end. I’m presuming we’ll see a little bit more of him in the NBC/American documentary. I am interested in seeing how bad it was for everyone the first week.

@OMG THE FAN KOOKS ARE OUT: “Analyzing every single bit of this man’s life”. Now we’ll be moving on to analyzing every bit of this FB posting to try and figure out what’s going on in Episode 2 of TB:

This actress is apparently playing an innkeeper:
    Dolores DeLuce

I’m up all night with the vampires on the set of True Blood. Finally got a job on my favorite HBO series. I’ll be working in a juicy scene with the cutest and best vampire ever. I can’t say who but look for episode 2 this coming season. Will he bite me? You have to wait and see. Jason, Sucky’s bro is in the mix too. I’ve died and gone to vamp hevan.

hi kate !! nice to see you still stalking alex’s posts!!!@ladybug:
the hoodie is most likely to not tan for tb. he usually has to avoid sun or look like grey chalk via makeup for vamp-face.. or trying to hide his 6’4 frame under a 3 foot hoodie, take your pick!!

  • @ladybug

@ladybug, thnx for the update. You always seem to have clean-cut/professional information. And thnx for the funniest fair reaction. One can be angry for whatever good or bad reason, and spit it in their own social page, but coming to a gossip site all of a sudden to insult a certain group (fans in this case) shows nothing more than a demonizing low-life personality. Use of specific words show that the person might have had a case or some cases of sick fantasies that troubled this person’s targets. Because there is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong in the fans’ comments above. Lastly best wishes to Alex and TB cast in their final season.

  • d

    @ladybug:

the only person they have any contact with at the moment is Larry, he is a very minor person, he works on promotions and give aways. As for the real management, they have no contact with them at all due to their decietful posting private photos of his family and his home. Do not let AS.net fool you. They like to think and want to make others believe they have more knowledge than they do. Fact.

  • ladybug

@d: Larry Taube is his manager, not a ‘minor person’:

Larry Taube is a partner at Principal Entertainment, a management/production company, which he joined in 2006 after 10 years as a theatrical agent and VP of Talent at The Gersh Agency. He handles top actors in film, television and stage.

    http://www.backstage.com/resources/detail/manager/principal-entertainment-los-angeles-51274/

And I think you have very deliberately confused ASNet with another fan site, perhaps WoS, who has claimed contact with management while not actually having any?

  • samira

I assume that his manager gives only general information to a fansite and personal things he does not tell .I hope for as that he gets an international career. Here in the Netherlands We do not really know him the only film of him playing here was What Maisie Knew and that was for two weeks

  • Chrissy

Poor Alex looks tired and that he’s lost some weight – hope he’s okay! No one would want to deal with paps when they’re not at their best! Hence the grumps!

  • ladybug

@samira: his management mainly confirms career/charity info: what film fests he might be attending to promote a movie, addressing casting rumors, Walking With the Wounded, etc.

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: WWTW:…well, good possible that we will not see much of him (or the americans in general) in the british documentary – which makes sense. At least, he wasn’t ‘team Glenfiddich’. But you’re right – it’s surely interesting how they started the entire thing. And how difficult it might have been in the beginning.

Larry Taube: Up to now, I even didn’t knew that he is his manager at all. Interesting info. And regarding this management contact debate: I guess, they have an eye onto such activities – and giving here and there some info (to certain sites), as long as it has to do with his actor-career. And it’s self-evident, that they do not give any private and personal info’s out, no question.
But I could imagine, in this industry it’s probably almost unavoidable to employ a manager. Or it least, it’s not bad to have one.

I could finally watch ‘Disconnect’ today in the theater. I had to drove one hour there and one hour back for the theater (*sigh*). But I’m happy that I did it. And that I had the opportunity to watch the film at all. In my view, the movie is so much worth to be seen. Alex was magnificent as Derek – but also the rest of the cast was well chosen. They were all very convincingly in their roles. And it’s a very important topic at all. But in the core I would say, the story is also a social study about how the internet changed our lives in a way. But at the same time, how the society has lost the ability to talk with each other. We’re search constantly contact with each other via the net – but lose also more and more the ‘real’ connection to each other. We have so much possibilities to get this contact nowadays – more than ever before. But somehow it seems we lose more than ever before the real connection to each other. Really interesting plot – and very good played by all of the actors.

  • ladybug

@Cafélady: I’m glad you liked Disconnect. It wasn’t a happy movie, but it was a good one, and as you said, the cast overall was very very good. Jason Bateman was really really good.

“but lose also more and more the ‘real’ connection to each other. We have so much possibilities to get this contact nowadays – more than ever before.”

This is true. And yet I’ve been really lucky in this, I’ve been a ‘member’ of a couple of blogs, for many many years, and I’ve been able to meet in person many of the other bloggers. So they’ve become ‘real life’ friends as well, not just internet friends.

As for Larry Taube, or any other manager, it’s not unusual to have your agent/pr/management/lawyers, etc. Especially as an actor becomes more successful. For Alex, his management will work with ASnet (and formerly SN) not just because they’re a reliable and trustworthy fan site, but also because Alex isn’t on any social media and therefore can’t tweet that he’ll be attending such and such film festival.

As for WWtW, it’s not just Alex that I’m interested in. I’m interested in the other participants, but also the logistics, and how bad it must have been to have to suspend the competition part of it. I think in addition to the adverse conditions (worse than they were expecting) the veterans were really pushing themselves even harder than had been anticipated. So even though Alex and the US team (or Team Soldier On) won’t be seen much at all on the ITN documentary, I still think it’ll be an informative documentary.

  • d

@ladybug: Believe me when I say he is minor when it comes to the others. As for ASNet there is no confusing them. They are a bunch of know it all cows who like to belittle anyone who does not agree with them or how they think Alex should conduct his life or what films he should appear in. They are the ones who contacted his little brother and got a hold of photos of the family and his house, and posted them. This is why Larry is the only one who will have anything to do with them, Alex himself has washed his hand of them. They are a bunch of fakers and want people to believe they are more than what they are. It is pathetic.

  • ladybug

@d: I know I’m violating my own ‘rules’, but you know that what you’ve written can be disproven by a few minutes on the internet? So Larry is Andy Serkis’ manager (as listed on Andy’s webpage) but somehow is ‘minor’ in regards to Alex?
Once again, it seems that someone with a personal problem with a fan site has decided to take it here.

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: Disconnect: Yes, Jason was very good, too. But like we said, the entire cast was very good chosen. They all did a super good job. And I find it tragic and so what of unfair, that the movie had so less resonance in the movie world – a victim of bad marketing I guess. I wish they would have given more effort in the marketing of the film – because it’s one of it who has definitely deserved more attention.

“…I’ve been a ‘member’ of a couple of blogs, for many many years, and I’ve been able to meet in person many of the other bloggers. So they’ve become ‘real life’ friends as well, not just internet friends.”

That’s nice. But I didn’t meant contact or connection in the sense of real meetings and the like…also, but not only. As you can see, after so many time here – I still have my difficulties with the english language. :)
But I try to express it a bit better; so did I meant with ‘connection’ also the inner ability to connect with each other in a way who isn’t so visible. It seems, as if we lose more and more this ability – feel instead of it, the urge to show masks, even toward them who we love (or believe we would do that). And the movie shows very good, that one of the bigger problems of the protagonists is; that they can’t really talk with each other anymore. It isn’t meant the usual talking procedere – they talk, but in a very superficial way. They can’t make or don’t find this ‘connection’ to each other anymore – and the masks they feel forced to use, are one cause for that.
So we use sometimes the net (and his opportunities) as an replacement – for making this ‘real connection’ and to displace our problems we get more and more with the lack (or the loss) of this ability.

As for WWTW: Yes, it’s surely interesting to learn something about the entire expedition and the difficulties they had to struggle with.
I also think, that this expedition a big challenge was – for all the Involved. May be, they didn’t expect it, how difficult it really was in the end. But I guess, if you never made such an experience before, then one can’t really imagine what expects you.

  • BJ

As a fan, I really don’t believe Alex cares what people think of him. He is totally unapologetic for what he does or how he behaves in public. He is fully aware that he’s being photographed, he’s not grumpy he’s resigned. As long as the paps stay at a distance and don’t attempt to take closeups up his nostrils, he accepts them in his public life. However, he draws a line on his private life, and I really don’t blame him. I don’t need to know what’s going on in his bedroom anymore than I want him peeking into mine! Unlike some celebrities that scream about paps following them around, and then sell their wedding photos and first baby pics to the press!

Alex has always been extremely generous with fan encounters, stopping to take picture, signing autographs, etc. But just because he poses with a tall, blonde female doesn’t mean he’s dating her! Heck, I think if I ever saw him in person, I’d probably smile to acknowledge that I recognize him then turn away and leave him in peace. THAT is how much I admire him as an artist, not just a beautiful celebrity!

  • Hannah

Ughhh I am so not looking forward to tarzen knowing he is going to hookup and bang and be all lovey dovey and flirty with his blond costar margot , just like straw dogs him bosworth date to get promo for the movie
I hope the movie flops big time ..

  • @tarzan

Best of luck to him for Tarzan movie. It’s weird how some people present themselves; don’t get the reasons of their spiteful & jealousy. I don’t think a wife, or fiancé, or serious girlfriend of his comes to read or post in this thread; therefore, who some folks think that they are for him, or to him, to wish bad luck to a movie out of spite that he would hook up w/his female costar? If he does, so be it! They would actually be a perfect couple! But for now, best wishes!

  • car

    @Hannah:
So what? Do you think he is ever going to hook up with you? Yes he is known as a player, but like Clooney he is a gentleman about it and those he hooks up with know the score. It isn’t like he is picking up random under aged girls or going with the naive. He has never talked smack about any of his “girlfriends” unlike many other actors who air their dirty laundry. People who have met him say he is unfailingly kind and good about autographs, pictures and talking to his fans unlike many other actors. People who have worked with him talk about him being humble, willing to learn, a team player and a good solid actor–unlike many of the diva types out there these days. He doesn’t parade himself in front of the paps like most actors. He keeps his private life private. And regardless of what goes on behind closed doors I respect him for that. I don’t want to look at a movie and think wow there is Skarsgard. I want to look at a movie and say wow what a great character. There are so many actors who are unable to overcome their press and when you look at the screen the actor is what you see and not the character. So kudos to Skarsgard for keeping it simple, keeping it private! And oh yes, I also happen to think he is a good solid actor. As long as he is not abusing children or animals etc. I’m a fan!

  • hmm

This is good news for Alexander. And Margot Robbie onboard too! Impressive.. I guess this is the big chance for him. Success here. And he will be an established A-lister. Big flop, perhaps time to return to Sweden. Best of luck Alexander!

    P.s

The tabloids probably happy too, Margot sure is Askars type.
