I’m very excited to see Ben in any role! I gave Southland a try, or watched Ben’s scenes. No one else could have gotten me to watch a cop show. Ben as the lead? On board all the way. Hope the writing and character give him plenty to work with. It should also get him on lots of casting directors’ radars for other roles too. Win and win!

Anything Batman related and I’d say forget it. Anything Ben and I’m all about it. I sure hope they don’t try for some kind of ridiculous costume to make him look like some of the older versions I’ve seen in pics. Lose the nasty ‘stache and glasses and go with a young character less about accessories that changed with age and time and more about the actual character decades earlier. Very glad to have Ben back on weekly TV and better yet in the lead. Good going, Ben! You’ve got game.

And this makes me smile too! Yes, I’d say I’m excited and I’d normally never say that about a Gotham kind of show. Put Ben as the main character and it’s a new ballgame. I know zilch about Gordon or any to the others, but I’m sure Ben will deliver. I hope it’s an original approach and that this character will be someone Ben will enjoy introducing in the most realistic way. I love watching his eyes, expressions and body language, so I’m looking forward to meeting someone new that way again and seeing the world through him.

I wouldn’t miss Ben, so whatever Gotham is, it will be required viewing. Congratulations to Ben for landing the leading role. I always thought he was very under utilized on his last 2 shows, especially in later seasons. Now he should be able to show what he has to offer. He’s so versatile with plenty of range. He proved he could do all of the stunts and physical demands he took on with Southland and he’ll nail anything with drama, emotion or even comedy. Good for him and great for us! Welcome back to prime time, Ben!

I’ve definitely missed having Ben on a regular show. Southland had too few episodes and I always watched Ben, but wasn’t into the show. He didn’t have much screen time when it was on TNT and the stories went downhill fast, but he always did amazing work. Bring it on this fall, Ben. I don’t know what to expect from Gotham, but I know you’ll impress!

I just saw some Gordon pics with big glasses and a scary mustache. Major cringe! Please, please, none of that! The guy was much older then.

Good for Ben for going forward with his career. Its show you
can bounce back after a TV series And not listening to his co star Rachel Bilson who wanted him to bash Mischa Barton. She can’t get anything herself and try to mess up people chances cause she can’t get anything. Congrats Ben!

Excellent to hear about Ben! The jury will be out on the series because it’s just not what I’d watch, but for Ben, you bet. I was looking forward to the pilot he filmed with Bruno Heller last spring where he was the lead too. Hello, center stage. There was so much untapped potential in his O.C. and SL characters, so I hope this is the one Ben can really work with. Congrats!

After I read about the new exclusive between Ben and Warner Bros., I was wondering when there’d be good news. I’d watch Ben count and he’d make it memorable. He’s a great actor who proves that less is more and takes the subtle, natural road. He seems like a really decent guy too, with a good head on his shoulders. All the best to him. Congratulations on the new role!

Great news, so put me on the smiling and excited list. I’ve been waiting to hear about a new TV show for Ben and hoped for a starring role. I thought last year’s pilot was it, right from Southland to something better and a bigger opportunity. His character sounded fascinating, so I’m sorry that didn’t happen, but now very glad to hear there’s another shot with this. Congrats to Ben and looking forward to the premiere.

Love Ben and everything he’s done to date. I know nothing about Gotham and have never seen anything about Batman, but there’s a first time for everything. If Ben’s the main character, I’m watching and looking forward to it. He’s awesome at non-verbal acting, so I hope the scripts showcase that too. He’s a very smart actor who should have that kind of material.

Very good news for a Monday!
