Harold Ramis Dead - 'Ghostbusters' Actor Dies at 69

Harold Ramis, most famous for his role in the beloved film Ghostbusters, has died at the age of 69.

The actor passed away on Monday (February 24) at 12:53am in Chicago surrounded by his family. He died from “complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels,” according to the Chicago Tribune.

Harold was not only an actor, but he also wrote and directed such comedy classics as Caddyshack, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Groundhog Day, Analyze This, and many others.

Harold is survived by his wife Erica Mann and his three children, Violet, 37, Julian, 23, and Daniel, 19.
