Jonathan Groff's 'Looking' Renewed for Second Season by HBO!

Jonathan Groff‘s HBO show Looking has been renewed for a second season, Variety reports!

The 28-year-old actor’s show is about the experiences of three close friends living and loving in modern-day San Francisco.

In more news, Lauren Weedman, Raul Castillo and Russell Tovey have been upped to series regulars! Frankie Alvarez and Murray Bartlett will return as regulars as well.

Production on the next batch of episodes is expected to begin later this year in San Francisco.

Congratulations to the cast and crew on the renewal!

    Awesome news. The show is a like a great book and it grows better for each episode. Its also great to finally see gays being portrayed realistically. Thumbs up!

    Yes! it just gets better with each episode. it’s not perfect but it’s one of the few shows on air that says something to me about My Life.

    I find this show pretty boring, myself, but with such a short season, I’ll give it a chance until the end of season one. I’m pretty surprised it’s getting renewed. Maybe Girls is a good lead-in.

    Based on this article, though, it sounds like O.T. Fagbenle won’t be back. Too bad, I liked him a lot. (The little we know about Frank seems a lot more interesting than what we know about the insufferable Augustin.) Not that it hasn’t been obvious since episode 1 that Augustin & Frank weren’t going to stay together.

    But YAY for the Lauren Weedman upgrade!! She’s just fantastic on the show. Doris is so great to keep Dom barely grounded. Raul Castillo and the character of Richie are outstanding, too, so I’m happy about Castillo sticking around as well!
