Sean Penn Gives Special Honor to Sawera Founder Noorzia Faridi in Dublin

Sean Penn suits up while attending the 2014 Frontline Defenders Award Ceremony held at Dublin City Hall on Friday (March 7) in Dublin, Ireland.

The 53-year-old actor presented the Frontline Defenders Award to Noorzia Faridi, who founded Pakistani women’s rights group Sawera, along with her sister Fareeda Kokikhel, who was killed on her way to work in 2012.

“When I hear the stories of the finalists of the Front Line Defenders Award, I am in awe,” Sean shared at the ceremony.

Last weekend, Sean and his girlfriend Charlize Theron made their first public appearance at the Fame and Philanthropy Post-Oscar Party in Beverly Hills.
