'Raising Hope' Canceled by Fox After Four Seasons

Raising Hope has been canceled by Fox after four seasons on the air, according to Deadline.

The series will have its finale on Friday, April 4 with an hourlong episode airing at 9/8c.

“Getting to know and love the Chance family on Raising Hope has been a sweet, hilarious ride,” said Fox chairman Kevin Reilly and COO Joe Earley in a statement. “Thanks to the incredibly talented cast – along with Greg, Mike and the entire crew – for making us laugh for four fantastic seasons.”

Raising Hope starred Lucas Neff, Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt, Shannon Woodward and Cloris Leachman. It will get some afterlife as the syndication rights have already been sold.

NOOOOOO! Raising Hope is one of the best. Cloris at her finest, all the kooky characters. So sad.
I agree with Joan, new girl bites.

I’m so sad, I absolutely loved this show, it was quirky but hilarious, contrary to New Girl which is too quirky and not funny enough.
And all the actors were absolutely perfect, it’s a real shame.

@Joan Rivers:

And they leave that REAL PoS The Mindy Project on the air. It sucks, no one talks about it, ergo no one watches it – why is it still on?

I for one will greatly miss the live-action Simpsons episodes that were RH, and of course, Garret Dillahunt’s torso under those henleys.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO whaaaayyyy damn it

MIndy show is great, haters!

I just started watching this show and it’s so funny! Gonna miss it :(

raising hope is one of the best family shows on tv .the best comedy show these days. really hope netflix or sme other channel buys it. burt and virginia were awesomee

I LOVED Raising Hope….My family and I watched it together, I know it has nothing to do with the actors as they were just doing their jobs. But SHAME on the writers for putting that vulgar comment about people with Hep C being nasty people! It was the last episode I watched, and plan to keep it that way, episode where Burt and Virginia go to “fat camp” with is also offensive. Hep C kills more people than HIV and I had just explained to my children about how I have HEP C but I will be okay, now they think it’s something dirty and shameful and treat me as though I am face eating zombie! They will not even hug me now! Everything I educated them on HEP C is now forgotten and they think I am nasty and even mentioned moving in with their father, thanks a lot clever writers. Don’t want to tell my entire life story, but …..I contracted it from my mother whom contracted it from her mother at birth. It doesn’t mean you are nasty. Was upset show was cancelled now glad. Hope actors find more work:-)
