I believe David made more appearances on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson than anyone else, as well as serving as a guest-host 75 times!! He was a very funny guy …. sad.

RIP David @ 03/15/2014 at 9:28 pm

Yes, David was funny back in the day. At least, he lived a good long life and didn’t leave the world too prematurely. I only found out a few years ago that he was in a relationship with Olympic pairs skater Tai Babilonia (remember Tai and Randy?). That really surprised me. I guess David and Tai were planning to marry at one point, but it never came about. Either way, they were still together and must have been happy. I didn’t know he’d had 3 sons. Good that he had the love of family, as well as love from all his fans surrounding him.

Other sites are saying that he and Tai married in 2011.

He’s been around forever but for some reason I thought he was in his early 60′s. He will be missed. RIP.

@cara: Hope they married. There is some good from marriage, especially when you or your partner dies. You need to be married to have some legal say-so. A lot of people who never wanted to marry end up doing it for that very reason.

David Brenner was one of the funniest guys to walk this earth. The stories about his family and growing up infused with great humor. RIP
