Audra McDonald Preps to Play Billie Holiday on Broadway!

Audra McDonald attends a meet and greet to promote her new production of Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill on Monday afternoon (March 17) at Pearl Studios in New York City.

The 43-year-old actress will be playing the legendary singer Billie Holiday in the one-woman show, which begins preview performances on March 25.

If you aren’t familiar with Audra, she is a legend of the stage with five Tony Awards under her belt. If she wins another award for her work in this play, she will have won Tonys in all four categories possible for an actress. Amazing!
