Fred Phelps Dead - Westboro Baptist Church Founder Dies at 84

Fred Phelps, the former head of the Westboro Baptist Church, has died at the age of 84, the Huffington Post reports.

“I can tell you that Fred Phelps is having some health problems,” WBC spokesman Steve Drain said earlier in the week. “He’s an old man, and old people get health problems.”

His condition got worse, and he passed away, many family members confirmed on Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Westboro Baptist Church is known for its strong hatred towards homosexuality. The church often performed horrific protests against homosexuals.
