Ziyi Zhang Mourns 'Grandmaster' Crew Member Who Flew on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370

The Grandmaster‘s Ziyi Zhang takes the red carpet for a big night out at the 2014 Asia Film Awards at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Thursday (March 27) in Macau.

The 35-year-old actress was joined on the red carpet by her director Wong Kar Wai – the film swept the show with seven wins including Best Movie!

Despite their successes that evening, the cast and crew took the stage to mourn crew member Ju Kun, who was a martial arts director on the film. Ju was one of the passengers on Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

“One of our martial arts directors unfortunately is one of the victims of MH370, so here I hope the Malaysian government can try their best to address this issue by taking a more transparent attitude… and to let us know the truth,” Wong said in his acceptance speech, speaking directly to Malaysian government officials.

“Today I am very emotional about (our) crew member and friend. We’ll have to say goodbye to him forever,” Ziyi added (via AFP).

Our thoughts are with all of the passengers and families of those on board MH370.

Very nice dress. But wearing a bra would have been better.

Mourning? Doesn’t look like she’s mourning to me, does she?

And what ‘truth’ was she talking about? Does she know something that none of the 26 countries involved in the Search and Rescue (SAR) operation don’t? If she really knew what happened to the plane, why doesn’t she say it then?

She also lashed out at Malaysian govt for ‘not revering life’, which is hypocritical considering how ‘live-revering’ the Chinese communist government is. Zhang Ziyi, I know they censor Google in China, but do yourself a favor while you’re on your many overseas trip, Google “Tiananmen Square massacre”.

I don’t think she will be welcome in Malaysia anymore after her recent rant about the Malaysian government. I wouldn’t be surprised if her Malaysian fans have stopped looking up to her because no one wants such a primitive minded person on their list of icons. You’d think an actress of sort-of international standards and exposure would be more open minded and smart! Playing the blame game without knowing the facts! The cheek.. Once the truth does come out she should dig a hole and hide in shame for a bit.
