‏@JrzGrlinNC: It started w Robin & ended w Robin, kind of makes sense if u really think about it #HIMYMFinale

‏@Mark_B99: Ended too quickly, shouldn’t have dragged out the first few episodes so much and then dropped so many bombs on the viewer #HIMYMFinale

‏@viviennelsen: I thought it was How I Met Your Mother, not “How I Went Back To Your Aunt Robin About 20 Times” #HIMYM #HIMYMFinale

@tinabdao: If you rewatch HIMYM after watching the finale, you will realize that it is the PERFECT ending. Yes, Ted really LOOOOVES Robin. #HIMYMfinale

‏@macachia: “how we destroyed 9 years of character development in one 40 minute episode ” #HIMYMfinale #HIMYM

‏‏@TheCityofBones: Was the How I Met Your Mother Finale an April fools joke or was it actually that bad? #HIMYMFinale

Instead of titling the show how I met your mother they should have titled when I met your mother or after your mother died

So Sad…

If they want Ted to end up with Robin, fine. But they didn’t have to screw with all the growth that Barney has had over the years.
It makes no sense!

Disappointed not only by the finale, but by this whole season… It just wasn’t up to the standards of the prior 8 years. They should have ended it last year.

I knew Barney and Robin weren’t gonna last. He did change his ways though cause of his baby. But a womanizer is always going to be that. The mother was so perfect it sucked that they killed her off but it did make sense. Like that one tweet said he started with Robin and it just makes sense he ended up with her. Even though their relationship wasn’t the best, they both got what they wanted from the start. Ted wanted children and Robin wanted a career on tv. The fact that they both experienced what they most desired and still found their way back to each other is so beautiful. I see where the writers were going with this. Throughout the entire series Ted’s one true big love was always Robin and vice versa.

I think the writers underestimated the impact of the actress who played Tracy. She did a FABULOUS job and rocked all of her scenes with Ted. They were PERFECT for each other. The scene under the umbrella was magical! Then – whoops! – she’s dead. Sorry kids.

They should have ended with the umbrella scene.

The good thing is, that they shut up all the people who would ask for a HIMYM Movie in the end. Nobody is interested in that anymore. Compared to Friends, Gilmore Girls and Sex and the City, where everybody wants to have a movie.

@Annabella:
Agreed. They should’ve ended the show when Ted and Tracy found each other under the umbrella.

The umbrella scene was so perfect.
Why did they end the show the way they ended it?
