Ed Sheeran Sings to Dying Fan Moments Before Her Death

Ed Sheeran is really an amazing guy – he recently called a 15-year-old girl named Triona Priestley, who was battling cystic fibrosis, and sang his song “Little Bird” to her just minutes before she passed away.

It all started with a viral campaign on Twitter called #SongForTri – luckily, Ed saw the hashtag and of course agreed to sing to the young fan.

“Myself and my family would like to thank Ed Sheeran and everyone who started and supported the #SongForTri campaign,” Triona‘s brother Colm said to The Telegraph. “What they gave us and her was a beautiful last moment together. Triona slipped into a sleep as Ed was singing to her and passed away shortly afterwards. So Ed Sheeran sang her to sleep.”

He added, “We are all so proud of Triona and how she fought cystic fibrosis. Everyone loved Triona so much and she knew that.”

“Rest in peace Triona, so heartbreaking x.” Ed wrote on his Twitter account.
