Sad News - Russell Crowe Will Not Reprise 'Man of Steel' Role for 'Batman vs. Superman'

Russell Crowe takes in the sighs of the gorgeous city on Wednesday (April 2) in Paris, France.

The 49-year-old Noah star shared some sad news with his fans: he will not be reprising his Man of Steel role of Jor-El in Batman vs. Superman.

“I don’t think they’re going to use me again. I think they’re jumping onto a different stream,” Russell told Yahoo. “You know, they’re going with the different superhero worlds colliding [this time].”

Noah is currently playing in theaters, and was number one at the box office this past weekend!

Why is this sad news. That first movie was pretty forgettable. He was good in it. But the senses on Krypton were way to long and boring anyway. I did not even think he would be in the sequel.. They could always use another time if they want.

Didn’t Jor-El get all blowed up?
.
If not then he owes back child support.

@nfff: The scenes on Krpton were the only interesting parts. THis franchise is just dead for now. Please let it rest for 50 years and leave it for another generation. Super heros…omg thoroughly sick of these comic book characters.
