Adrien Brody Explains His Creative Process in 'Manhattan'!

Adrien Brody is a dapper gentleman on the cover of Manhattan magazine’s April issue, out on newsstands now!

Here’s what the 40-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On growing up in New York: “There’s no better place to observe human nature, to study it, to be educated by it, than the street life of New York.”

On his fascination with magic at an early age: “There’s a mischievousness and symbolic quality to magic—the doing of the seemingly impossible and the inherent defiance—that makes it especially appealing to little boys.”

On his creative process: “I’ve had a long career, and I’ve developed a whole process, my own guidebook. It boils down to getting where I want to be with a character. I know when I’m not there, and I don’t like that feeling.”

What a sloppy blah cover. Appalling. Bad for him and sales. I suggest one rethink whomever does cover selection a.s.a.p. He looks sad, forlorn, depressed, lonely, bored, worried and any other negative emotion one can conjure.
