Saoirse Ronan Has Gained So Many New Talents Over the Years!

Saoirse Ronan is all smiles while walking on the set of Brooklyn in costume on Wednesday (April 2) in Enniscorthy, Ireland.

The 19-year-old actress stars alongside Domhnall Gleeson in the film as a young Irish immigrant who makes her way in New York during the 1950s.

Saoirse recently discussed the various talents she has learned for the different movies she’s made.

“I learned how to light a fire using a piece of wood and some moss and some twine. I haven’t used it to this day. I think probably one of the coolest things was probably learning martial arts for Hanna, you know, getting to do all that stuff. That was amazing,” Saoirse told Crave. “I started to do a little bit of it again now and it’s still there in my muscle memory and stuff. So that was great to do, and there was this film I was supposed to do – it ended up not getting made – but I learned horseriding and I really, really loved it. It was amazing.”
