Amy Poehler Explains Broad City's Appeal: 'Young People are Very Savvy Now'

Amy Poehler is sandwiched between Broad City co-stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer during the photo call for their show at MIPTV 2014 held at Hotel Majestic on Monday (April 7) in Cannes, France.

The 42-year-old actress and the stars also attended a different press event earlier in the day.

“In countries all over the world people are finding and needing something that feels true and real to them, and also being very suspicious when it’s not,” Amy said about Broad City‘s youth appeal (via THR). “They’re able to sniff it out in a way if people are thrown together and cast in something that’s created by someone else with no real origin story. Young people are very savvy now.”

FYI: Amy is wearing a pink Equipment top, Tory Burch Willa jacket, and J brand jeans. Later, she changed to a Tory Burch top.
