@samantha: Some women are naturally thin.

I’ve been sort of following Thandie’s career since she appeared in Flirting with Nicole Kidman. She looks exaclty the same as she did 20 or 25 years ago.

To people who wonder how she did it… simple… if you keep your weight gain to under 25 pounds while pregnant [which is a healthy amount, not excessive], a woman’s pre-pregnancy figure usually bounces back nicely… there might be a bit of lingering tummy, but that’s why Spanx were invented.

That’s because you’re normal! LOL. I’m so sick of these articles that say “Look how thin so and so looks only X months/weeks after giving birth!” It sets unreal expectations for other women. Yes, it could be that she’s just “naturally thin” and the weight just melted off after she gave birth, but it’s more likely that as a celebrity whose very livelihood depends upon her appearance that she had a personal trainer, dietician, etc. at her disposal to insure that she didn’t gain any more weight than absolutely necessary while pregnant, and after giving birth, was able to lose the weight she did gain in a timely manner. The majority of women are not so lucky.

@Jessica : I completely agree. I only put on 14kgs with my baby and this was with consistent exercise and healthy eating right up until I gave birth and I still have 4 kgs to go 8 months later. Women need to be realistic and realise that celebs are not the ”typical women” out there, they are in a position to have everything to guarantee a ridiculously fast recovery. Give us all an expert dietician, high profile personal trainer, cook, cleaner, babysitter on call and life coach and we would all look this good – if not better!

but who in the real world expects women to lose baby weight in such a short span of time. I probably suxs to be them because they can’t even enjoy being pregnant because they are worried about the weight gain and feeling the heat of competition from other skinny actresses who lost weight fast.

If Thandie was not a happily married woman, her and Ejiofor would make a beautiful couple!

@Ya know: I don’t think so. Both of them in this pic look like they can’t stand being next to other black people.
