'Star Wars: Episode VII' Heading to Abu Dhabi for Tatooine Scenes!
The highly anticipated movie Star Wars: Episode VII will reportedly be heading to Abu Dhabi to recreate the famous planet Tatooine in the desert setting, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Tatooine was featured in all of the six previous Star Wars movies except for The Empire Stikes Back. It was the home to Anakin and Luke Skywalker, and also the headquarters of Jabba the Hutt.
Sources say that the Star Wars production will be heading to Adu Dhabi, which is part of the United Arab Emirates, beginning in mid-May for a four-week shoot. A majority of the film will be shooting at Pinewood Studio in England.
