'Scandal' Finale Hits Record High Ratings, Blows Us Away!

The season three finale of Scandal aired last night (April 17) and boy was it a jam-packed episode that brought in great ratings!

The show had approximately 10.5 million viewers tuned in for the season three finale, making it Scandal‘s best aired finale to date.

The show finishes “season 3 up 39 percent in viewership and 43 percent in the demo,” TV Guide reports.

Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes dished on last night’s ep on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“She [Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope] did quit her job, you might watch her on the beach somewhere. We’ll have to see next season…There’s that last look after she chooses to ignore the phone call from the White House when she sort of says she’s sure to Jake [Scott Foley] and then she looks out the window when you can really see that she’s not so sure,” Shonda said on the show.
