Tom Hardy on Portraying Elton John: 'I Can't Hold a Tune to Save My Life!'

Tom Hardy waves to his awaiting fans as he steps out of his hotel on Tuesday morning (April 22) in New York City.

The 36-year-old actor is in town to premiere his film Locke later tonight – stay tuned to Just Jared for pics!

Tom recently opened up to the Wall Street Journal about having to sing as Elton John in the upcoming biopic, where he was cast as the famous singer.

“Yeah, I hope so,” Tom said when asked if he will be singing. “Otherwise I’ll have probably failed, right? But that’s terrifying me. I can’t hold a tune to save my life. God knows how I’m going to do that. But then I couldn’t cage fight before I’d gotten in with ‘Warrior.’ And I still can’t. I’m not supposed to be a cage fighter. I’m only playing one.”
