Let’s see if it actually …happens. LOL. And then start placing bets on how long it lasts. LMAO

    Observation Says:

It’s so funny how she looks like a female version of him. He’s basically marrying himself! Congrats though.

    GFW Says:

It seems too loud. Does he want loud? Does she want loud? Splattered all over the Internet and all? Why? Who cares.
Like I said under the other thread, it is moving too fast. Men take nearly a year to emotionally connect to a woman especially a commitment phobe like George. I just hope it isn’t some subconscious payback to the last one who wanted just this then was denied to only move on quicker and find love and now a child. Love isn’t games. No one should be used as a pawn either. I’ll see it when I believe it. And even so I don’t give it two years. He’s infatuated it appears by someone actually smarter than he is.

PS, Like I said in the other thread, I’m most happy for him/them. Love is the water of life. ~Rumi

He found his soulmate. Good for him! She seems real and not fake, like a lot of people.

    Aisaiko Says:

Hmmm…. Sorry to be skeptical, but his commitment issues run deep. I don’t care if he jumps up and down on Oprah’s couch. I won’t believe this until after they say “I Do”. If it’s real, congrats. If it’s not, get help.

@GFW: Did you just quote Jalalluddin Rumi? that’s really awesome!!!

    Sayer Says:

Someone is trying desperately to keep his middle-age female fanbase. I wonder if the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joke had anything to do with it.

Clooney is 53. This woman is 36. She is still way too young for him.

    SS Says:

Won’t believe it until they walk the aisle. And even then, how long? He isn’t the constant type.

And about our George, let wait and see where this engagement leads.

  13. 13
    Sayer Says:

“Subconscious payback”– George’s generic girlfriends, including the last one, know what they’re getting when they date him. They date him for FAME and publicity, especially the last one. Just like Leo’s generic girlfriends date him for fame and publicity.

Clooney cared about the last generic girlfriend no more than he cared about the previous ones.

What kind of Law Firm confirms an engagement. Solictors and barristers firms are to be the sole of discretion concerning both partners and clients

    who is this dude?.... Says:

will the real George please stand up!! LOL…does anybody else find this whole thing incredibly weird??? it makes absolutely NO sense!!.. this IS George clooney, right.?! if this is “real” it will NOT last. she may have “conquered” him and gotten a ring but he is an (adamant self proclaimed) eternal bachelor.and will want out as quickly as he wanted in..its just who he (admitted) he is….just so odd!!!

Any primitive backwater third-world ape “lawyer” can be trolled as being either beautiful or intelligent, but will this farce last or even make it to the paper ceremony are the questions being asked.

Oh the will marry, but after that whey will finalize a divorce in 2 years.

    dog Says:

Why is he getting married? Didn’t he say the world is overpopulated? He can still enjoy different girls being single. He’s not a senior citizen.

@THE WAY OF ALL THINGS: You’re such an ignorant racist..and you sound very jealous to boot!

    barbiegirl24 Says:

When i first heard he was engaged i thought she was pregnant but after reading this it sounds more like a business deal too.

At the same time she is very beautiful and intelligent. The type of woman any man would want to marry. I thought George Clooney was engaged back in the late 90′s, to a beautiful blonde school teacher, I think she was French??

So many theories in my head. Now I don’t know what to believe.

  21. 21
    george? engaged? Really?? Says:

Everyone is scratching their heads over this one..people kept saying its just another rumor, a ka-razy one since george has been adamant about staying single. Hollywood is known for these kinds of things…but george?.. GEORGE?!?! …atleast george kept it real with regards to marraige-he got flack for it but stayed true to himself…yikes. this is certainly NOT georrge clooney. the original bachelor.LOL .agree with those who say it aint goin to last… this IS george -the forever bachelor, after all! LOL..this whole thing is certainly odd!.

  22. 22
    Cate Says:

She’s intelligent, accomplished, successful and beautiful. He’s a lucky man!

  23. 23
    Susan Says:

I think he finally realized that he is starting to look stupid with all the “girls gone wild” girlfriends. It worked for him for a while to be seen as a ladies man, but now he’s too old and people are literally making fun of him (hello tina fey and amy pohler). So he follows the Warren Beatty model and find a smart, beautiful, women with her own career to “settle down” with so the minivan majority will continue to swoon over him. The saddest thing here is that he has to live this way, making his life decisions based on what the public will think. The Tom Cruise movistar model is over, it just took clooney too long to get it.

    Congrats! Says:

It will never change. Being a Romeo is fine when you are young and sowing your oats, but when you get older, you just look lecherous and silly. I’ve met so many women who love George Clooney. He has an “air” about him. He seems intelligent and he has a great sense of humor. Some men have to “calm down” first. It’s hard to marry when you are still Tom catting. Not only that, but who are the men we truly admire in Hollywood? I like men like Tom Hanks, Bale, Jackman — all married and family men. And Brad Pitt has always been popular, but he has never been a man who jumps from bed-to-bed. I think most people feel better about men like that.

  25. 25
    Another Power Couple! Says:

If they can marry and make it work, I see a great partnership to make things happen and get important things done around the globe. I see Clooney finding a deeper purpose in his life besides acting and Hollywood. Yay!
