Sean Penn Calls Out Media for Not Covering Positive Haiti News
Sean Penn looks dapper in a suit while stopping in the convenience store at a gas station on Monday afternoon (April 28) in Los Angeles.
The 53-year-old actor was on his way to the Milken Institute Global Conference, where he talked about his advocacy work for Haiti, which was devastated by an earthquake back in 2010.
Sean pointed out that the media, especially the “left-leaning media,” has not been reporting the good news coming out of Haiti. He is trying to help the nation receive the outside investment it deserves.
“This is a miracle unreported,” Sean said (via THR). “No one is asking for a handout. It’s not a beggar culture. Everyone is asking for a job.”
“It’s that tangible place that has been so long disregarded,” he added. “Geographically, it’s very practical to get involved with Haiti.”
