The best thing that could happen to TASM is for the franchise to fail and have it returned to the hands of the people who truly care about it. Marvel

Just look at what Marvel did for 2nd and 3rd tier characters.

They’re poisoning the well albeit slowly.

@Fercat: Yeah, because we all know Ironman 2 & Ironman 3 and Thor 2 were awesome :/ TASM2 has the best depiction of Spider-man ever on the big screen, Garfield & Webb nailed it. I dare anyone to argue that. Maybe you should watch the movie first before criticizing it instead of parroting what the Marvel fanboys are saying. I love how they all think Marvel can do no wrong and they criticize TASM for the same things they give The Avengers credit for.

what does that have to do with this post?
Can you not live a day without shitting on every post that is related to Andrew or Emma?

Well, you didn’t get my point did you?
Ironman, Thor. These are lower tier heroes. Spiderman is one at the top, yet Ironman made more money and is part of 2 franchises. Got no problem with the cast, they did nail it. But they’re not fully fleshed out the way they could have been.

It’s arguable that Garfield is the best Spiderman, but the films don’t exactly make that tangible.

I’m no fanboy. I see the flaws. But what Marvel does right is make the heroes very personable. Which was actually the secret to the Spiderman comics. It’s not all about the effect, the villains, the CG, the fancy story arch.

In the first Captain America, the best parts were before he got his powers.

Sorry but you’re biased and misrepresenting me. My comment is not related to either actors, just the franchise.

I did have a dream about Garfield, that fat cat in those comic strips, surviving some horrific plane crash last week. Might have to see this weekend’s SNL, just to get it off my chest.

@Fercat: Ok, so you’re only talking about money and not about the actual product. Ironman made loads of money even though the script to Ironman2 and Ironman3 was pretty terrible. I totally disagree about Andrew’s Peter Parker not being personable. Again, I suggest you actually watch TASM2 before coming up with your conclusions. Read any review, they may criticize some elements of TASM2 but they all agree that his Peter Parker/Spider-man is spot on in this movie and he has loads of charm in this one – and it’s what actually saves the movie.

These days i really don’t predict great things for andrew because every time i expect something he does to be good it just ends up sucking.!!
