Scott Eastwood Lands Lead Role in New Nicholas Sparks Movie

Scott Eastwood has landed the lead role in the upcoming movie The Longest Ride, an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name.

The story follows “a 91-year-old man trapped in a car crash who reflects on his life with his deceased wife as a young couple fall in love a few miles away,” according to Deadline.

Scott will be playing the younger version of the man, who falls in love with a college senior during his youthful years.

The movie is set to be released in April 2015 and we can’t wait to find out who will be rounding out the cast!

Is this one really any different then the Channing Tatum/Rachel McAdams movie? Plot of very similar…

  • essie

all of Sparks’ novels are similar and follow the same formula

  • Dahlia1947

Sounds good! I will watch him in anything!!

  • Ha

Pfft nepotism at its best. But WHY THE HELL are all Nicholas Sparks novels so similar!? Old man telling how he fell in love with the woman of his life…. The notebook was enough. I hated how Rachel McAdams basically played the exact same role a second time around in that movie with Channing Tatum. Ugh.

  • Tyla

Sounds kind of depressing. Sparks’ novels always have an air of such sadness to them.

  • Okay but

His dad needs to play the old man!!!!
