Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Will Enter Rehab for Substance Abuse

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has announced that he will be taking a break from his mayoral reelection campaign to “go get help,” according to the Toronto Sun.

The 44-year-old politician became a media sensation last year after being involved in a substance abuse scandal. He had denied allegations, but videos were discovered of him that led to Rob admitting to smoking crack cocaine, drinking and driving, public drunkenness, and illegal drug use.

Just this past week, an audio recording of Mayor Ford being unruly while ordering booze at a bar in Toronto was leaked.

Rob says he wants to “deal with his issues” and that his team is advising him to stay in the mayoral race. He will be entering rehab for his substance abuse issues, according to his lawyer.

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Rob Ford finally going to get help?
