'Bridges of Madison County' Broadway Musical Closing May 18
The acclaimed new musical The Bridges of Madison County will be closing its doors for good on Broadway later this month.
It was sadly just announced that the show will be ending its Broadway run on May 18 after four months on the Great White Way.
The musical was based on the beloved book that inspired the movie of the same name back in 1995. The show stars Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale as two people who are caught between decision and desire, as a chance encounter becomes a second chance at so much more. Robert (Pasquale), a photographer, wanders into the life of housewife Francesca (O’Hara) for four days in the 1960s.
The Bridges of Madison County received four Tony nominations this week including Best Leading Actress in a Musical for Kelli and Best Original Score for Jason Robert Brown‘s absolutely beautiful music.
We highly recommend going to see the show before it closes as its one of our favorites from this season and deserves more love than it has been receiving! Head on over to BridgesofMadisonCountyMusical.com for more information and to get your tickets.
