'Spider-Man 2' Soars to Impressive $92 Million Box Office Debut!

The highly-anticipated film The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opened to a whopping $92 million at the box office, easily taking the No. 1 spot!

According to THR, the sequel, which stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, and Dane DeHaan, opened overseas a few weeks ago and has already racked up $369 million globally. Still, it missed besting Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which debuted with $95 million in its first weekend.

Holding strong in second place was the female-centric flick The Other Woman, starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton, which earned an additional $14.2 million!

Taking the No. 3 spot was Heaven is for Real, which grossed $8.7 million in its third weekend for a total $65.6 million.

Rounding out the top five were Captain America and Rio 2, which brought in $7.8 million and $7.6 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden‘s new comedy Walk of Shame took in $38,000 from 51 locations for a location average of $745.

stupid film and Andrew is a bone head !

Yeah I saw Spiderman and it was surprisingly awesome. I wasn’t expecting it to be good. I didn’t like the first one and I got a free premiere ticket with a friend so I went with no optimistic feelings for the film but I was proven wrong. It was really great. It deserves the success. More than lame Captain America

@Ha: B-tch, you have no taste. Even Spider-Man 3 was more enjoyable than this mess.

# 5

Let’s be real here. Spiderman 2 sucked. It was so jammed packed that they lost the story.

I enjoyed Amazing Spiderman 2 very much. Worth seeing.

Not better than Captain America:The Winter Soldier though.

I enjoyed Amazing Spider Man 2 very much.

But, not as much as Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

I’ll wait for it on cable. I’m sure it’ll be okay.

Pathetic movie, and Garfield was too juvenile.

Sorry but Spider-Teen 2 really sucked! Time to reboot the reboot guys.

I cannot believe the amount of money it has made.To be honest the movie was dire and very disappointing.!
