Wow that was a strong bottom 4 tbh.. sucks that 3 had to go :-/

  • Jessie

They all were good. Sisaundra had the best vocals of anyone, but she’s older and no matter how great her voice is The Voice viewers are a younger crowd that leans mostly toward pop and occasionally country, but with someone like Danielle Bradbery who is more like Taylor Swift country.

  • James

Adam called it, Kat was the instant save curse breaker. Congrats!!!

  • kathy thompson

I do not think that if you have sung professionally or with a professional singer you should be aloud to be on the voice, SASAUNDRA SINGING WITH CELION DION.

  • Thaty

Everybody knows Christina is winning. It was clear since her auditions that the show would be promoting her insanely, like they are. She even appears constantly in other contestants behind the scenes videos!
She is great, and will be a deserving winner, but I wish the show was more fair to the other candidates – she is pimped too much and they don’t have to do this because she is fantastic as her own!
Unfortunately the Voice is starting to become like American Idol with all the manipulation!

  • Umm

@kathy thompson: Backup…but if that’s the case then Christina Grimme and Cassadee Pop should have NEVER been on. Released records, been on television, toured with major recording artists and, in Christina’s case, even performed the American Music Awards pre-show. They had fan bases, Sisaundra did not.

  • Agreed

@Thaty: Agreed. The fact is that they could ALL win on their own and be deserving, but there’s definitely an angle here. They’re also changing voting off rules randomly a lot. Christina is the only one who gets press on this JJ site…from her preview audition before the show even aired to the songs she does live now. The others do not (except eliminations). She gets a lot of press on other sites too and many celeb endorsements on Twitter. It seems fishy. She’s talented, but it’s like she’s being campaigned. I know people who don’t watch but say “I hope Christina wins” or “I downloaded Christina’s song but I didn’t listen to the others” because she’s the one being promoted. You want someone to win but you haven’t even listened to the others. Christina is talented, for sure, so I agree with you, but I’m not sure she’s the top vocalist this year. I personally wanted Delvin to win, but I can’t deny that Sisaundra could sing on the same level as some legends. Who votes that off? Young America. Sad, but true.

  • Billabong

I completely disagree. I’ve thought she was the best voice since her audition, and I think she’s a firecracker. I’ve gone to her YouTube and listened to her sing, she’s incredible. Have I been manipulated? Nope. Be careful accusing of manipulation. Maybe people just plain like her and think she should win.

  • Well

@Agreed: I wouldn’t say it’s fishy. She already had her fanbase before the show which included some artists so it’s no surprise they would ask people to vote for her or make it known that they were rooting for her. She gets more press on this site and others because she was already well known before The Voice. There are people downloading her performances that haven’t even watched the show, yes, but it’s just their way of supporting her like they do when they watch her videos. Does it put her at a disadvantage? Definitely. I just don’t see it as being fishy because if you were aware of who she was the second she was on the show, you probably saw something like this coming. Same happened with Cassadee Pope and her fans from her days in Hey Monday and Warped tour, as well as her boyfriend’s and friends’ fans. No matter what the show, there’s always a season favorite or two and the same ‘voting without paying attention to other contestants’ thing happens with them.

  • RDH

I can’t recall seeing so many incredibly talented people on a contest -type show. By this time, there is usually a clear contestant or two that will be a winner, but this time, any of the eight could have progressed to the semi finals, and could have a successful career. Hopefully, the record producers are watching!

  • Denny281

I agree that Sisaundra should not have been eligible to be on the voice in the first place. Young singing hopefulls that have only sung in their bedroom or on youtube shouldn’t have to compete with someone that toured with Celine Dion and worked a Disney for a couple of years. Anyone who has joined the union at any time shouldn’t be eligible. Amatures only!!

  • Meg

@Denny281: Sisaundra shouldn’t have been eligible but like the person two comments above you said…Christina already has a fully established fanbase. Someone who is already an established artists (whether they have a major deal or not) shouldn’t be eligible at all. That definitely puts young hopefuls who haven’t had a chance at any type of career (example: Jake Worthington) at a huge disadvantage.

  • Meg

@Well: How does she have a disadvantage? She doesn’t. Having Cassadee Pope up there was more like a career comeback then a chance at stardom like her fellow contestants. Having Christina up there is more of a way to get her name out there even more than to actually be discovered like her fellow contestants. She has half a million Twitter followers, that’s a HUGE advantage over the rest. Sadly The Voice is just becoming a place where YouTube sensations who have already been brushed with stardom come to get more facetime with America rather than total novice hopefuls who want to get the chance they’ve never been able to get before.
