Kim Kardashian Writes Blog on Racism & Discrimination

Kim Kardashian has taken to her blog to pen an essay on racism and discrimination.

“To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought. It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else’s battle,” the 33-year-old reality star said in the blog entry.

“But recently, I’ve read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realize that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been,” Kim added in this short excerpt.

I never knew how much being a mom would change me. It’s amazing how one little person and the love I have for her has brought new meaning to every moment. What once seemed so important, now feels insignificant. It’s like I get to see the world for the first time again, but through someone else’s eyes. It’s a beautiful thing to feel and experience so much more, but with that beauty comes a flip side – seeing through my daughter’s eyes the side of life that isn’t always so pretty.

To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought. It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else’s battle. But recently, I’ve read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realize that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been.

I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don’t have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation. I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing.

So the first step I’m taking is to stop pretending like this isn’t my issue or my problem, because it is, it’s everyone’s… because the California teenager who was harassed and killed by his classmates for being gay, the teenage blogger in Pakistan who was shot on her school bus for speaking out in favor of women’s rights, the boy in Florida who was wrongly accused of committing a crime and ultimately killed because of the color of his skin, they are all someone’s son and someone’s daughter and it is our responsibility to give them a voice and speak out for those who can’t and hopefully in the process, ensure that hate is something our children never have to see.

No Kim, just no! Stick to what you do best and that is being the shallow shell that you are.

I truly don’t get how people HATE her so much. She’s so, so harmless.

# 3

OMG…Kim is trying to run for President…she’s so deep

Hypocrite. She’s about to marry a man that says the N-word in most of his songs, and said President Bush hates black people on national television. Stick to makeup and posing for pictures, kim.

# 5

I guess one of her management had to write this essay. It has one too many four plus words in it.

# 6

@Lil: Because people don’t really hate her, they are jealous of her, it’s pretty obvious. Celebrities don’t have any impact on our personal lives but celebrities have an impact on those who are obsess with them. Some people can’t accomplish goals in their own lives so that’s why they “hate” and can’t stand other people who are successful. It’s good seeing someone with her influence and status speaking about these issues.

@Teresa: I agree, Teresa. I really do not like the Kardashians, especially how Kim became famous, but for her to take her public power and put it to good use is a noble deed. She has a lot of followers and if she says no racism, a lot of them, being mind zombies, will go – maybe racism isn’t good!

She didn’t write that, not one “like” in there.

@dollhouse: LMAO, how white can you get! First of all Kanye is black, so its okay that he uses the N word, he takes that into power, he and other black people take ownership of the word, unlike white ppl who use that to belittle black ppl. Also Bush does hate black ppl and all other races, he is a rich white man, what do you expect, Even tho a lot of ppl don’t like Kim, what has she really done that personally effected us, nothing. If she can use her power for good, that’s all that matters. Now why don’t u stop criticizing other ppl and take a lesson about racism cause you clearly know nothing about it.

I don’t like how Kim became famous, or infamous, and she often seems shallow and atten-seeking, but I’m going to hope that she is sincere here.

They really are pulling out all the stops now, aren’t they? The “racism incident” was shown to be another disgusting publicity stunt and her
claiming to be so concerned about North is laughable since she only uses for publicity. This so-called essay is another way to manipulate the public into believing that Kim is anything other than the shallow, insecure, uneducated bimbo everyone knows her to be. No one with any brains would fall for this publicity stunt! Down with the famewh*res!!!

Whatever!!! @ 05/07/2014 at 8:40 pm

Then GO AWAY!!

For once I agree with Kim, finally she opened her eyes a sees the world for what it still is racist and she stopped being so naïve.

There is no way in the world that Kim wrote that; no way. She’s far too uneducated to express herself like that or to use perfect punctuation marks or to even know what some of the words – like “ensure” – mean. If you look at the blog JJ posted even today she wrote “Its” when she should have written “It’s” because she’s too stupid to know the difference. Her past blogs have many grammatical errors and those are way shorter than this one; there’s just no way that she wrote such a long blog with no errors. Somebody wrote that for her and she’s taking the credit ….

Liste, I can’t stand the woman either. She doesn’t work for a living or do anything productive… but at least she’s writing on her blog about something that matters in the world, for once. Regardless her motives for attention, at least it’s not about her hair, makeup, famous rapper boyfriend this time.

At some point you have to realize that this woman could save the would from hunger (lol), and people would still hate on her.

I do believe this one time that she is being genuine, ’cause she must experience racism by having a biracial child and it must effect her. She’s superficial as hell, but not a monster though.

Oh, and of course someone helped her write that. Not even Angelina types her own stuff. It’s ok. Welcome to hollywood.

add uneducated to her list of attributes.

As a black woman I get more offended when someone of the same race uses the n-word because it’s disrespectful to our ancestors who were killed, belittled and tortured in that name. We’re not “taking back the power” from white people by using that word against each other. I would guess it only makes actual racist people ( not all white people are) think it’s totally acceptable to use it. It will always hold a negative connotation regardless how many times rappers use it in their songs. It doesn’t uplift anyone and never will.

Yes racism and discrimination still exist in this world. Also racism isn’t just a black/white issue, it goes across ALL races.

She’s a superficial piece of garbage by even posting this because she didn’t write it. If she had posted a shorter piece, one which she wrote herself, it would have more of an impact than somebody else’s words. She’s trying to show everyone that she’s a deep intellectual – yeah, right.

Good for her. I can’t be against someone who is fighting racism.

WhatAJoke @ 05/07/2014 at 9:03 pm

Kim isn’t deep enough to EVER pen this!

She’s a superficial piece of garbage by even posting this because she didn’t write it. If she had posted a shorter piece, one which she wrote herself, it would have more of an impact than somebody else’s words. She’s trying to show everyone that she’s a deep intellectual thinker – yeah, right. Thanks anyway Kim, but I don’t need a lecture from someone on your staff who gets a paycheck from you.

She’s the GOOP for ghetto trashy people….don’t worry Gwyneth..she won’t steal your ideas!

She needs to stick to what she does best – shop, go to lunch, post selfies, shop, go to dinner, post selfies – and call the paps each and every time she leaves the house to make sure she gets her daily fill of media attention. Any form of intelligent thought is way above her pay grade.

She should stick to p0rn.
