President Obama Gets Honored at USC Shoah Foundation's 20th Anniversary Gala!

Barack Obama hits the stage to give a speech while attending the USC Shoah Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday (May 7) at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, Calif.

The 52-year-old President of the United States was joined at the event by Octavia Spencer, Samuel L. Jackson, Liam Neeson, Rita Wilson, Jessica Capshaw, Christa Miller, and Steven Spielberg, who introduced Obama before accepting his Shoah Foundation’s Ambassador of Humanity Award.

“I have this remarkable title right now — President of the United States — and yet every day when I wake up, and I think about young girls in Nigeria or children caught up in the conflict in Syria — when there are times in which I want to reach out and save those kids — and having to think through what levers, what power do we have at any given moment,” President Obama said during his speech. “I think, ‘drop by drop by drop,’ that we can erode and wear down these forces that are so destructive; that we can tell a different story.”

“And because of your work — because of your work, Steven, and the work of all who supported you — our children, and their children, and their children’s children will hear from the survivors, but they’ll also hear from the liberators, the Righteous Among the Nations. And because of your work, their stories, years and decades from now, will still be wearing down bigotry, and eroding apathy, and opening hearts, drop by drop by drop.”

Hollywood Liberal Elites, every single one of them. Steven Spielberg should be ashamed of himself for politicizing the Shoah Foundation, which is supposed to honor the victims of the Holocaust, not bring together yet another bunch of liberals in Barry’s corner.

and
it is elements within our own government that are a good part of these “destructive forces”…so that makes him a liar again…but he’s talking to hypnotized superficial idiots so it doesn’t matter

I know, it were better to give Edward Snowden asylum in Germany.
I´m thinking about giving Edward Snowden asylum.
That would be better – in the name of human rights!
I don´t wanna´ see Edward Snowden´s future rotten in an US prison!
He has deserved asylum.
And Germany would be the best place for him!
The NSA was monitoring my cellphone!
Thus this should be my reaction!
Last night i had a vision: If i don´t give Edward Snowden asylum in Germany, i´m not gonna´ be voted again as the 1st head of Germany.
Freedom for the nigerian girls & freedom/asylum for Edward Snowden in Germany!
Mit freundlichen Grüssen, Mr. President!
Deutschland hat seinen eigenen Kopf für Gerechtigkeit!
Und ich sollte ihn auch haben!
