Shailene Woodley & Ansel Elgort: 'Fault In Our Stars' Nashville Fan Event!

Shailene Woodley rocks some leather pants at The Fault In Our Stars Fan Event held at the Nashville War Memorial Auditorium on Thursday evening (May 8) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 22-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Ansel Elgort, Nat Wolff and author John Green.

Inside the event, the cast and fans were also treated to a musical performance from Nat and his younger brother, Alex.

Just a few days earlier, Ansel and Nat got together to recreate the film’s promotional poster! “Love is blind. #tfios @natandalex,” Ansel captioned on Instagram.

Shai, Ansel, Nat and John are also pictured below in Cleveland, Ohio and at Despierta America in Miami.

FYI: Shailene is wearing a Zuhair Murad jacket, AG tank top, and Barbara Bui leather pants.

Good song. I don’t mean to sound totally lame (or mean), but since I’ve never read The Fault in Our Stars…maybe I just don’t get it, but why are they doing fan events and everything for it like they did with Harry Potter, the Twilight series, The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments and Divergent? I get that it’s a popular book series with a lot of fans, but don’t they usually just do those things with those big sagas that are going to be more than one movie? By the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like TFiOS has a part 2…unless I’m wrong. Like I said, I understand that it’s a beloved book, but there are a LOT of singular books (and series) that get made into movies without fan events. For example… The Host, Warm Bodies and Beautiful Creatures, oh and the Perks of Being a Wallflower. Once again, I’m not trying to knock the book or the fanbase, I’m just genuinely curious.

There’s not much to confused about. It’s a one book/one movie deal, but it has legions of fans as is evident through fan event pictures. Theses malls and other venues for the event are totally packed with fans. They would have predicted this and subsequently organized fan events. It’s a super popular book by a very popular author (of several other books than TFIOS) and just happens to star two actors from a big franchise, so yeah, it makes sense to me.

@Confused: It makes perfect sense. TFIOS has been a best seller since the title was announced has stayed on the NY times best selling list longer than any title you named except for Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. All the other movies you mentioned flopped. Not even Perks as a book is as successful as TFIOS. I think you’d understand why they’re doing this if you knew that the event in Miami was a health hazard due to too many fans pushing and fans being exposed to 8+ hours of Miami sun.
