Disgraced Clippers Owner Donald Sterling to Anderson Cooper: I Made a 'Terrible Mistake'

Donald Sterling sat down with Anderson Cooper to give an exclusive interview about his racist tirade, which ultimately led to his ban from the NBA, which will air tomorrow night on CNN.

“I’m a good member who made a mistake and I’m apologizing and I’m asking for forgiveness,” Donald told Anderson on the air (via CNN). “Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? I mean, I love my league, I love my partners. Am I entitled to one mistake? It’s a terrible mistake, and I’ll never do it again.”

“Well, that’s a very good question,” Donald said when asked why he waited so long to apologize. “I just — I’m just so emotionally distraught, and the reason it’s hard for me, very hard for me is that I’m wrong. I caused the problem. I don’t know how to correct it.”

“I was baited — I mean that’s not the way I talk,” Donald added. “I don’t talk about people for one thing, ever. I talk about ideas and other things — I don’t talk about people.”

The full interview airs tomorrow at 8pm EST.

Sterling got caught but, privacy issues are long overdue to be discussed in the US. Scream at your congressman. Not about this but, privacy in general.

No one is surprised that an 80 yo guy is a racist.

But, what really needs to be answered is :

    1) Who made the recording?
    2) Who gave it to TMZ?
3)Are Charles Latibeaudiere and Magic Johnson guilty of racketeering?

He didn’t make any “racial slurs.”
It was a private, personal conversation.
He can lose his $1 Billion investment because he told his girlfriend not to bring other men to Staples Center?
    That is crazy.
LeBron, Chris Paul, Adam Silver and the rest of them need to chill.
