Michael Fassbender & James McAvoy Brave the Rain for 'X-Men' London Premiere!

Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy hit the blue carpet at the premiere of their new movie X-Men: Days of Future Past on Monday evening (May 12) at the Odeon Leicester Square in London, England.

The guys were joined by their co-stars Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, who play the older counterparts of their respective roles.

The men all had big smiles on their faces despite the dreary, rainy weather in London that evening. Looks like there were a ton of PUHs (personal umbrella holders) on the carpet that evening!

FYI: Michael is wearing a Thom Sweeney suit, shirt, and tie with John Lobb oxfords.

Michael is looking dashing as always, in his suit. Looking ever so sexxxy. James was looking upset in some pics, maybe because it was raining lol. But they all looking good

Michael looks good in that suit. I like the pattern. I wish suits for men would trend back to the 20′s style. That’s my favorite decade for men’s style. Is that a purple suit on Patrick Stewart? I love it. Eggplant is my favorite color so no man can go wrong in a dark purple suit as far as I’m concerned. I remember right after the OJ Simpson trial we saw Johnny Cochran at a restaurant. He was wearing a light purple suit. Lilac pastel. The only lilac colored suit I ever saw a man wear. The restaurant was on the water, it was a bright sunny day, and a very light bright room. (So with reflection of the bay it was like all white sparkles dancing all over the ceilings and walls). Johnny and his charisma wearing his lilac suit lit up that room like a flood light even more. He looked very debonair as only Johnny could. And of course he knew he was the only man on Earth who could look that good in a lilac suit. LOL. :)

Patrick Stewart’s wife has great legs. At least she’s not wearing skinny jeans with the stripper heels. LOL.. :). Her dress is above the knee which is leg flattering. I don’t like the trend of the dresses with the hem hitting in the middle of the calf. It makes every woman look shorter with fat legs. But, to me, dress length should be below calf to hit where the ankle is thin or above the knee. I hate those shoes. Everyone is wearing them. Must be the latest trend. They look uncomfortable, too high, and they cover the feet in an unflattering way. Although I think most women in Hollywood are short so I suppose they gotta do what they can to seem longer. Poor girls… But it doesn’t make sense. Why wear dresses to make you look shorter and then try to look tall with a 5 inch heel? It’s amazing to me how people wear trends regardless of whether it is body flattering or not…

Michael was in really top form tonight in every respect. He looked very handsome, the best he’s looked for years and he was sooooo happy all evening. There are a lot more photos and in most of them he’s just grinning from ear to ear or laughing. Some great shots with Ian McKellen and bromance shots of him and James too. And when asked about kissing James during an interview he burst into song. He was having the time of his life and his happiness was so infectious. Yahoo’s live stream is still available, watch to see some great moments!

@Singing in the rain:

Why wouldn’t THIS be happiest moment of his life? He’s taking the reigns to promote a movie to help out a director who ruined possibly many human lives. Why not break out into song? It seems only right, eh? Let’s have a fiesta! Let them eat cake…

Looks like Michael is wearing underwear this time.

# 8

Wow! Michael sure had the magnetic vibe last night. What a man, great actor, sex on legs and a really nice guy. And in all in one (extra large!) pakage!

@fangirl: LOL! Or his suit wasn’t such a tight fit, material thicker? A generous endowment like his is always going to be visible in tight pants. IMO he was wearing underwear in NY, if he went commando even more would be on show than the shape/outline. But hey what’s not to like looking at his package? He was hot in NY but even hotter in London despite the rain he was electric! @singing in the rain nailed it, great to see so much of the Fassy grin, guess he’s happy to be back home too.

FOX has a sick and twisted PR machine in my opinion. Unless X Men Days of Future Past has a legitimate homosexual story line about a love affair between Magneto and Xavier, what is the purpose for playing up this gay affair “bromance” between the two of them?

What is the strategy? Anyone know?

Fassbender was apparently at it again at the London premiere jumping around on the red carpet singing and having apparently from all reports “the time of his life,” and playing up as much as he could an inference of a gay bromance between Magneto and Xavier and making jokes about kissing and being in love. Is this a legitimate storyline of x-men movie?

This is the second time at least where they’ve made reference to it in PR campaigns. Is that what the original x-men comic book was about?

I got some heat about it before when I brought it up.. And every time I mention it on Fassbender’s IMDB board, my posts get deleted. However, even Bryan Singer is smart enough to at least FEIGN humility and has stayed off of Twitter once Egans lawsuit was filed. So as to not kick dirt in the public’s face by seeming elitist, or unempathetic to child abuse or serious issues like RAPE, I presume.

But now we have Fassbender jumping up and down like a fool on the red carpet and reports are that he’s having the absolute time of his life and this is the happiest he’s EVER BEEN. After dancing to Blurred Lines. What’s there to sing and dance about? I find it atrocious given the fact that he’s promoting a movie where the director is accused of rape. There’s one thing to be gracious and enjoy your time at a premier. But there’s quite another to be having the TIME of your LIFE. So the message is he’s just an UNEMPATHETIC and UNSYMPATHETIC snake who enjoys flaunting the pain of others? That’s the messages I’m picking up here. Its nauseating. Can anyone tell me what the legitimate reason for playing up a gay romance for X Men is and what could be behind Fox PR’s strategy here ? What does that have to do with the movie? Or are these people just sick crazy jerks who feel they are untouchable? I find this to be arrogance at its worst.

The more I see of this behavior in Hollywood, the more I get convinced that they REALLY do believe they are mortal Gods who are untouchable and invincible. People who really don’t care about other humans on any real level at all. Yet, people give them money. Amazing.

Is this his PR lady’s brilliant strategy? To make sure everyone knows that to exhilarate Michael, you need to stick him in a situation where he can thumb his nose at potential child abuse or rape victims? Interesting. I was on the Beyonce/Jay-Z /Solange fight thread. The smart posters there, by FAR, and overwhelming consensus, are folks who are AWAKE to this nonsense. They are posting about the fraud, farce, and fake images and attempts by celebrities to assume a position of superiority and royalty as Gods reigning over the rest of the world. Michael’s inability to mask his potential and seemingly unempathetic attitude to the pain of others or to show restraint on any level out of respect to the masses who DO have EMPATHY for the vulnerable, and children and victims of rape especially, might hopefully open more people’s eyes to what garbage humans these folks in Hollywood truly are.

Wiki I wanna be in Mosco LOL

Interesting @ 05/13/2014 at 4:24 pm

….Ooops, Moscow that is lm@o. I swear Michael Fassbender looks so motherf@(ckign good in a suit it.is.ridiculous. Like d@mn yo smh. And he looks so d@mn good in a leather jacket and shades its insane. Hes rocking dat $h!t. If I could steal his jackets I sooooo would

Man he is sooo gorgeous. I think it’s great that Paula is there, assume it’s the same for other celebrities we just don’t spot them. If she keeps him in check and looking dapper and remain his interaction with us mere mortals am happy!

@Interesting: He has been killing it these past several days. He looks so damn good that it actually hurts.
I revisited Fish Tank last night and he has matured fast but I’m not complaining. I almost forgot he looked so much younger only five years ago.

How sad! All to make a theater anyway because you have to go anyway… There are people who live on less than $ 400 a month and there are people who did not even hope. And then Fassy, after stupid homosexuals jokes, go to Moscow at the premiere… but thinking something about human rights no? The wh/ore of the situation LOL
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/11/conchita-wurst-eurovision-russia-_n_5304395.html

I do not want misunderstanding, I am for gay civil rights, which are basic human rights.

bromanceja @ 05/13/2014 at 10:24 pm

@lol: I understand where your coming from about Moscow but really don’t think Michael had much choice in the matter. As one of the leads in the film he’s expected to promote it and for whatever reason he got Moscow, if it wasn’t him one of the others would go instead. The argument should really be why Fox decided to promote the film in Russia and doesnt China have issues too? As for the homosexual jokes he didn’t start these fan fantasies and only says anything when media types bring it up. Everyone knows its a joke, Michael is not gay and James has been happily married for years. There is a big difference between playing along with fan fiction and supporting homophobic governments.

The underlying theme of X-Men movies is acceptance of those who are different. So, as far as I’m concerned, Days of Future Past should be promoted in Russia now, as much as ever.

russian salad indigestible @ 05/14/2014 at 5:31 am

Russia is a fascist state , Putin is in ukraine as Milosevic in the balkans .Hollywood (and not only)does not care about civil rights , for them russia is a big market to make cash..

@bromanceja: One can also say NO, it’s not that they are there with the gun pointed at his temples. One can look himself in the mirror and decide that it will also be for sale, but not his dignity. And that the media circus and fishing for cash can also be interrupted. At some point one can say, “Enough, it was a pleasure but there is a limit to everything.” LOL
