he should stop asking for more money and let the second film of Millennium trilogy happen…it’s about time and Fincher, Mara and Wright were amazing on Girl with the dragon tattoo…it’s his fault if this film is on hold

    @julianna_90:
The movie was a huge flop and Fincher is no longer attached… And Noomi Rapace IS Lisbeth Salander! sorry Mara.

    Kate Says:

He NEVER asked for more money, it’s just tabloid gossip, already denied by many, e.g. Mara. Don’t spread stupid tabliod rumours.
And Mara is Lisbeth, Noomi was too one dimensional and cartoonish.
I hope they will make the second part as Daniel was a brilliant Mikael, I couldn’t stand that Nyqvist guy – he riuned the movie for me.

    Daniel looks LUSH!

The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo was a FLOP? The budget was $90m and the box office was over $230m – that’s much more than all the Swedish parts made altogether.
And it was way better the the Oplev movie in terms of script, dialogues, music, atmosphere and acting. And it was much more faithful to the book than the Swedish film.

And I’d LOVE to see Daniel in the sequels, he was a perfect Blomkvist.
    He is a perfect man.

Returns of $231 million in worldwide box office wasn’t enough to turn a profit on “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.”

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer disclosed in financial results released this week that it is booking what Co-Chief Executive Gary Barber called a “modest loss” on the film. On a conference call with shareholders, he said the independent studio, which covered 20% of the approximately $100-million production budget for the movie co-financed and distributed by Sony Pictures, needed “Dragon Tattoo” to collect about 10% more revenue in order to break even.

I’m in Europe and I still think that the Swedish movies sucked big time and Fincher’s movie was brilliant. On all counts.

I liked the third one the most, Rapace killed it in the trial.

    FAN Says:

I liked the Swedish version just fine, the extended version was really good but……Rapace was good enough as Lisbeth, she just didn’t do the book Lisbeth justice. She was too tough, almost never showed her vulnarable side and looked way too old for Lisbeth. Lisbeth is suppoed to look like a teenage boy and Rapace looked like a 30 year old punk.
Mara was exactly like I imagined Lisbeth while reading the books.
Nyquist is a trained actor but IMO he was not able to make me believe that Blomkvist was a womanizer. Blomkvist bedded almost every female that crossed his path, that part was in neither movie but even if it had been I couldn’t imagine any woman to fall for Nyquist. Craig on the other side…LOL YES!

    mike Says:

Noomi Rapace made the best movie acting work of all time in millenium trilogy. It was stated by many reviews all over the word. To compare Noomi with anybody could only restricted people, who do not watch movies carefully. The girl with dragon tattoo it is fist of all Noomi Rapace, not even Stieg Larsson, because the book lost in compare with movie.

Dan is looking shaggable as always, sexy short hair.. nom nom.
To be fair, the sex scene between Dan & Rooney Mara was really nice which makes TGWTDT the best version! She seduced him easily, she hopped on & rode for England! Good girl!

    LOL Says:

She rode for Sweden, not for England LOL

    Truth in Love Says:

The million dollar question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. You broke God’s Law, but Jesus paid your fine. That means He can legally dismiss your case. He can commute your death sentence: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus alone, and God will grant you the gift of everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.
