Robin Wright & Kevin Spacey 'Do Nothing But' Goof Off On 'House of Cards' Set!

Robin Wright & Kevin Spacey 'Do Nothing But' Goof Off On 'House of Cards' Set!

Robin Wright lounges at the pool on the cover of Town & Country magazine’s June/July 2014 issue, on newsstands May 20.

Here’s what the 48-year-old House of Cards actress had to share with the mag:

On plastic surgery: “In Hollywood the pressure’s there. You better lift that face and pump those lips and hike those boobs! And I was like, ‘I don’t want to do that. I’m going to get older. I’m going to have wrinkles!’”

On declining certain female roles: “Hollywood is difficult to navigate if you have integrity, so I opted not to work if there wasn’t enough to do in a role, which doesn’t have to do with the role’s size. If there’s nothing for me to do as an actress, that’s frustrating… I’d rather go work at a menial labor job, where I can actually get my hands dirty.”

On if her and Kevin Spacey goof off on set: “We do nothing but. We goof off like kids and get into riffs that no one else understands. We’re cracking up to the point where the crew has to wait. I’m sure it’s very annoying.”

She’s such a beautiful and talented actress. She was and still is so picky with the roles, if she’d accept the roles in stupid but bankable films by this time she would be bigger than Julia or Nicole…I always remember she turned down the Batman movie and suggested Nicole for that role. Respect.

    TOO much photoshop.
I hate how these interviewers make assumptions that 48 is old. So silly. They would never ask a 48 yr old guy (Keanu Reeves, Ben Stiller etc…) about cosmetic procedures.

@Wurry: My thoughts exactly. She’s not old at 48, and she doesn’t even need a face lift, she has a enviable bone structure and cheekbones to die for. Why nobody ask male actors about botox (a lot all of them use it:Pitt, Clooney) or the hair loss that is one of the biggest male obsessions in Hollywood and everywhere. A lot of actors had have hair implants or hair pieces but it a big taboo to talk about it.

@Wurry: about the photoshop: all of the magazines do it, even when is not necessary. Vogue People, I don’t remember a single cover that has not been airbrushed.

I’m so glad that some actresses still have integrity. Now Robin has just to get that Oscar that for so many years she’s been snubbed. She refuses to campaign which makes things harder in the business oriented place that Hollywood is, but if she works with great directors like Fincher, Scorsese, Spielberg, it’s just a matter of time. She need to do more roles where she plays ice queen b!tches like in House of Cards…she’s beyond talented. And it doesn’t hurt that she’s one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood

    You guys are right.
Women are always keep getting asked about that in Hollywood since they’re like 28 or something! And they have to answer, and they answer.
I’d like to read answers about botox and hair implants from the biggest male stars. That could be fun. But no one’s asking them that. bacouse that would be RUDE woudn’t it??(((

I saw her the other day with her kids in Santa Monica. She is stunning, you can tell she doesn’t need plastic surgery she looks like she really takes care of herself. Specially her skin, is pale perfection. I was sitting just across her table and she has a hell of a body…pilates or something.
