Angelina Jolie's Kids Helped Her Create 'Maleficent' Character's Voice!

Angelina Jolie's Kids Helped Her Create 'Maleficent' Character's Voice!

Angelina Jolie sits down for an interview with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America, which aired this morning (May 21).

The 38-year-old Maleficent star discussed the movie, her wedding to Brad Pitt, her health, and more.

“I didn’t know what to do with the voice … so when I give my kids a bath at night I would tell them stories in different voices,” she said, adding that when she did “this particular voice they couldn’t stop. The bigger I got, the more they laughed,” Angelina said about creating her character’s voice.

When asked about her decision to go public about her mastectomy, Angelina said, “I wasn’t worried about it, but I didn’t expect there to be so much support. And I was very moved by it. … It’s connected me so much to other families, other women.”

She also added about her wedding to Brad Pitt, “We don’t have a date, and we’re not hiding anything, but we really don’t know. We talk to the kids about it once in a while. … And one of them suggested paintball. And we thought, ‘Well, different,’”

Angelina Jolie: Rich, Famous Moms “Shouldn’t Complain,” “Have Much More Support Than Most”

    21st May 2014
Hear that, Gwyneth? Angelina Jolie knows how good she has it. The Oscar-winning actress, 38, said in a new interview with the New York Daily News that she is aware that she has “much more support than most people.”
“I’m not a single mom with two jobs trying to get by every day,” the Maleficent star said. “I have much more support than most people, most women in this world. And I have the financial means to have a home and health care and food.”
Jolie is famously the mother to six children with longtime partner Brad Pitt. The couple parents son Maddox, 12, son Pax, 10, daughter Zahara, 9, daughter Shiloh, 7, son Knox, 5, and daughter Vivienne, 5.
In addition to her starring role in the upcoming Maleficent, Jolie is also lending her voice to Kung Fu Panda 3 and directing the Coen brothers-assisted war drama Unbroken. She continued, “When I feel I’m doing too much, I do less, if I can. And that’s why I’m in a rare position where I don’t have to do job after job. I can take time when my family needs it.”
“I actually feel that women in my position, when we have all at our disposal to help us, shouldn’t complain,” Jolie, who is worth a reported combined $270 million with Pitt, said. “Consider all the people who really struggle and don’t have the financial means, don’t have the support, and many people are single raising children. That’s hard.”
One actress who does not seem to agree with Jolie’s sense of perspective is Gwyneth Paltrow. The Goop businesswoman lamented her struggles of maintaining her film career while raising children in a recent interview with E! News.

“It’s much harder for me,” mother-to-two Paltrow, 41, said. “I think it’s different when you have an office job, because it’s routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening.”
“When you’re shooting a movie, they’re like, ‘We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,’ and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult,” she continued. “I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as… of course there are challenges, but it’s not like being on set.”

New ‘Maleficent’ trailer cleverly mashes up ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and the Angelina Jolie movie

    9:30 am, May 21, 2014 | Reviewed

Disney has released a new Maleficent preview, which puts the film’s live-action footage next to Sleeping Beauty’s animated scenes.
In this new trailer, which includes Lana Del Ray’s dark cover of “Once Upon A Dream,” Angelina Jolie’s interpretation of the Sleeping Beauty villain is compared to footage from the animated princess movie from 1959.
After viewing this trailer you’ll see that the two overlap at certain points but are very different interpretations. Even though it didn’t seem like it in this trailer, we imagine (and hope) that there will be a couple shot-by-shot recreations between Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent. It would be a nice way to pay tribute and respect the original classic.
In related news, a new clip from Maleficent was released this week in which we see Princess Aurora pricking her finger on the spinning wheel and falling into a sleep-like death while the titular villain tries to ride to the scene to intervene.
Maleficent opens in theaters next Friday, May 30. The film “explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic Sleeping Beauty and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.”

Beeeeyooooootiful! She looks so beautiful in white, but also black, okay any dang color. LOL
Apparently the ff’ers aka ugly fat fkcers & Huvaniston paid trolls are out in droves on DM, mad because they’re fugly in shite. Calling Angie all kinds of guess what? skinny, because she dared wear a mini dress. No, she’s not built like no necked thick necked linebacker with stumpy legs like Maniston, and she never will be – face it, that’s what you’re really mad about.
Also, thanks for the heads up about the Baba Walters shout out, firmly cementing Angelina Jolie as the legend at only 38, that she is. My guess is, that’s another thing they’ve lost their shite over. No one can ever imagine Babs mentioning Fishyth or Manny in that category – Angelina’s so out of their league it’s not funny.
Also, stylist and makeup (I see Angie’s rookie Makeup artist, he or she of the HD powder mishap, has been deep sixed as she looks flawless) — as for the dress in that photocall, no one with slim pins should ever get their dresses cut off at the knees – either thigh high or below the knee. That’s a rookie stylist move, and once again it’s allowing the lard azzes w/ celulite the size of oranges to pile on over on FF’ers home site dm.
Undeniable beauty is undeniable. Hence them clawing eyes out. ;)
