OMG, that’s really impressive!! The producers should thank Jennifer Lawrence. Her huge popularity has surely attracted many moviegoers.

That’s great, but it’s for a 5 day total, including Thursday and Monday. not the usual 3 day. The Hollywood reporter said they are ON TRACK to make that much ( 110 million) through Monday. Box office Mojo is showing 90 million seven hundred thousand for friday-Sunday. Godzilla actually made more in it’s 3 day period, 93 million. But, it took them a couple more days to make it to 110 million. X-men opened in 44 more theaters than Gozilla.

All the main actors have substantial fan bases, they ALL contributed to the success of the film. I didn’t see the film for Jennifer Lawrence, whose character was better played by Rebecca Romijn. Jennifer is good, but I don’t buy her as a femme fatale.

    @Joelle:

I was wondering about the total. When you look at Thursday, Friday and the weekend + Monday that total is not that impressive.

I may be missing something. Can someone really explain how this is impressive.

    I’ll see the film.

@Joelle: agree on every point you said. I went cause I’m a true x-men fan that has watched every movie since the first, not just cause being purely a j-law fan, all of these actors have very big fanbases. I still prefer Rebecca as mystique, there’s certain actresses that can pull off bada$$ femme fatale/villainess and have the actual look of it, I don’t see Jen as that, her fans can but I don’t.

@Chris: I disagree, fassbender,Jackman and McAvoy have probably drawn more movie-goers to see film.they are the reason I will see it along with it starring sir Patrick Stewart and sir Ian mckellan.

    Fercat Says:

Everything about Rebecca Romijn’s Mystique says fast, lethal, sexy.

    J. Law’s version looked like it needed a hug.

    haterz Says:

Bwhahaha. the same person responding over and over again. Stay pressed. JLaw is a big reason it did so good. Her fans show up. Rebecca was nothing but eye candy. JLaw’s Mystique has a story. Over 260 million in the first weekend.

    Simone Says:

It coulda used more scenes with Wolverine and Bishop. Fassy, Jen, and James were amazeballs!!! Quicksilver totally owned his ****!!! For me it made up for Last Stand.

Greatest X-Movie ever. Singer did a superb job. Hope he is still on schedule to direct the next one, like he has been.

There was nothing wrong with X-Men Last Stand. Just a lot of non-comic fans saying “they all died” and a lot of comic and comic movie fans saying otherwise. Now that you know they aren’t really dead, you can all go back to loving it again. No on stays dead in a comic. It is a better world.

    Living in a box Says:

@haterz: First thing first, how much I respect Jennifer as an actress but she is not the reason for the box office draw. X-men Last Stand made over 100 million opening, please check box office mojo. As expected this film will make money outside U.S. And now you sound like a fools.

    jon m'shulla Says:

X-Men were the draw not Jennifer. Love Jennifer but, this kind of movie has a built in following. Comic fans and X-Men movie fans.

Days of Future Past was awesome.
