Smokey Robinson & Elton John Collaborate on Duets Album 'Smokey & Friends'!

Smokey Robinson is working with Elton John on his upcoming album Smokey & Friends, which hits stores in September!

Elton will harmonize with Smokey on two tracks, which were originally released in 1965.

“So great and direct; so simple and heartfelt. I think Bob Dylan described him as America’s greatest poet. He [Robinson] says things in five words that people take a whole page to say,” Elton recently shared about Smokey. Watch the video below!

In case you didn’t know, the duets album will be produced by former American Idol judge Randy Jackson. Pre-order the album now!

Some of you just don’t get it and don’t want to understand it. Every moment is nothing more than one more opportunity to say something useless. Smokey Robinson is orbiting in the exact same songwriting greatness that defined; laid the groundwork for musical composition as Lennon & McCarthy and it’s sad that so many of you are clueless about what a good song from start to end sounds like. Elton’s present in no way negates his and Taupin’s continuing contribution to music.
