Brad Pitt Files Temporary Emergency Restraining Order Against Red Carpet Attacker Vitalii Sediuk

Brad Pitt was shaken up after being attacked by notorious Hollywood prankster Vitalii Sediuk on the Maleficent red carpet on Wednesday (May 28) in Hollywood.

The 50-year-old actor was punched by the man before the police immediately jumped in and arrested him. Vitalii broke Brad‘s sunglasses, but luckily Brad is said to be okay.

After the incident, he filed a temporary emergency restraining order against Vitalii, which requires him to stay 500 feet away from Brad for the next 5 days, TMZ reports. The case has been sent to the L.A. City Attorney for possible prosecution.

Should put a lifelong restraining order on that lunatic. Who the heck is funding his long string of shenanigans? I think he should be banned from ALL red carpet events.

Don’t blame Pitt at all. That guy is getting more and more outrageous with his “pranks”. Next time he could have a knife. Or have his kids with him. Some people will do ANYTHING for attention.

    Passing Through Says:

Not too surprising. I’m sure Disney’s security got a major grilling today about how the guy got through them and that close to Brad in the first place. Bet that meeting wasn’t kid-friendly…

This ridiculous, drama queen is milking the incident for everything it’s worth. Even America Ferrera was above it, and this tiny man with delusions of grandeur wants to cling on to headlines by any means necessary. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I hope he gets laughed at and ridiculed. SNL needs another skit at his expense!

Did any of the other stars file restraining orders? It’s not like the guy goes after the same people twice.

@Jack: maybe hè is trying to keep him from Angie and kids while promoting the movie.

    Some Bunny Says:

That is it. Vitalii Sediuk! This guy is so over. If he can get that close to Brad than imagine how poor the security is for others.

I wish Brad would of knocked him on his azz, but he is a gentleman, but if someone came near to his beautiful love of his life, Angelina Jolie, pretty sure Brad would end them.

    Felinelilly Says:

@chunky pipe: Hola cook, we’re just going to have to disagree on this one. I don’t know what Brad said about Will Smith but that guy trying to kiss him was taking it too far, and no matter what was said no one deserves to be physically attacked. That nutcase is crazy and the kids could have been there. Jackass didn’t need to get under America Ferrera’s dress either. So I’m glad Brad filed and I hope the lunatic pays for it.

    Ⱦamsin Says:

Yea because three A listers had run ins with the guy and it was forgotten the next day, but the tabloid king who has no movies and no career, has decided to get his name in the media through a prank.
But-but, isn’t Pitty the king of pranksters in Hollywood? George certainly thinks so!
When he shot an episode for Jackass, he staged his own kidnapping and fooled the real LA police into thinking the situation was real.
And then in 1999, he was partying in Mexico with David Fincher and some friends, he paid local authorities to cut off the power, and bribed government officials to break into the place they were at, and took one of his friends under false drug charges. The guy’s girlfriend went ballistic. He certainly got huge laughs out of it and bragged about it for years, because THAT’s his idea of fun… so where is this POS sense of humor now??

Fandango Reports ‘Maleficent’ Accounting for 80 Percent of Weekend Sales

    on May 29, 2014

maleficentlongrange.pngLOS ANGELES – May 29, 2014 – According to Fandango, the nation’s leading moviegoer destination, “Maleficent,” starring Angelina Jolie as the title sorceress, is casting a spell on ticket-buyers. The Disney adventure is conjuring up more than 80% of the company’s weekend ticket sales and topping Fandango’s Fanticipation movie buzz indicator with a magical 91 out of 100 points. It’s currently outselling “Snow White and the Huntsman” at the same point in the Fandango sales cycle.

“It’s a great juicy titular turn for Angelina,” says Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger. “Thanks to her entertaining performance and the film’s entrancing visual splendor, theaters will be filled with families with older kids, as well as couples on a date this weekend.”

Fandango’s Karger interviews Angelina Jolie in this week’s episode of Fandango’s movie recommendation show, “Weekend Ticket,” and points out that the studio wouldn’t have made “Maleficent” without her. “I don’t know if that’s movie industry clout, or some kind of acknowledgment that I’m pure evil,” laughs Jolie. “They did say to me, ‘How do you feel about being considered perfect for this particular role?’ It’s an odd-back-handed compliment in a way, but I’ll take it – I like her.”

At the end of the “Weekend Ticket” episode, Karger challenges Jolie to a fun trivia quiz about her own movies, from “Girl, Interrupted” to “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” asking her to identify the source of her own classic one-liners (like “Never send a boy to do a woman’s job!”). The entire “Weekend Ticket” interview is available for viewing at

    About Fandango’s Fanticipation
Known for having its finger on the pulse of moviegoers, Fandango’s movie buzz indicator, Fanticipation, provides statistical insight into the movies fans are planning to see in a given weekend. Fanticipation scores (based on a 1 to 100-point scale) are calculated via an algorithm of Fandango’s advance ticket sales, website and mobile traffic, and social media engagement. Fanticipation is not intended as a forecast of the weekend box office; it is a snapshot of movie fan sentiment.

    Jack Says:

@ Ivy. If Brad Pitt cared so much about protecting his children he would have never sold their privacy to People magazine claiming it was all for charity even though there is no proof that $35 million ever went to charity.

    carly Says:

and 38% from the top critics. Here’s a favorite “Jolie plays it painfully straight, offering us just three Maleficent modes. There’s the curse-scene Maleficent, with her glamorous evil grins and sultry cackles that play so well in the trailers. Then, for the rest of the film, she’s either stone-faced or screaming. This choice makes this once-fascinating figure feel flat.” Same thing in Changeling. Such range. Here’s something I didn’t know and that is she has been nominated for razzies 7 times. And in three years she was nominated for two movies each year. All these before she bagged Pitt who came fully equipped with a production company. No wonder she went after him. She needed a career boost. A MIghty Heart anyone?

    teri Says:

I think this guy has a mental illness and should be checked out. It’s simply not normal for one to hit without being provoked.
It disgust me that this man acted like a baffoon in front of the JP children, that’s low. I’m going to see Melificent today. :)
