    Yeah... Says:

    She’s really pretty, no denying it, but she’s a horrible actress. She sucks so bad. It’s absolute torture to hear her delivering lines. I think she possesses two emotions: try-hard sultry and confused. The rest is total poker face. Nepotism at its worst! There are equally, if not more beautiful, and interesting black actresses who have talent, but this lil’ hipster is taking it all. Ugh!

    She is a perfect beauty! I can’t deal, like she was perfect as Christina.

    Yeah... Says:

    @Teenaaa: Ummmm…. What does her beauty have to do with her character? I thought she was horrendously bland in “Divergent” like in all her “work.” Thank God she wasn’t in it for so long, but she’ll be more present in “Insurgent” and that worries me especially because this franchise isn’t the strongest. She is capable of ruining a movie. Watch her in “X-Men: First Class.” She and January Jones ruined the whole thing, hence why they were not asked back for “Days of Future Past.” How embarrassing it must be to have promoted that movie as much as she did and then be dropped completely from its sequel. All the critics agreed that she was bad, really, really, bad. Her prettiness can’t hide the fact that she sucky, sucky, sucks! You can’t take her seriously at all. You should watch “Yelling to the Sky.” It’s a drama with her as the lead. She couldn’t have failed more. I had a permanent frown the whole movie. Everything she said just came out cold. Her face wouldn’t match what she was saying or doing. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! There’s no denying it, folks, kid can’t act and is getting work solely because of her last name. You can’t even argue that it’s her beauty or “coolness” because you can walk around Brooklyn for fifteen minutes and spot about a dozen other girls that look just like her. She’s totally forgettable and ultimately replaceable, yet she continues to steal work from more deserving black actresses. It’s annoying as f/uck!

    @Yeah…: Wow that’s a lot going on there! She was perfect in Divergent as most viewers and critics alike have pointed out. Perfect acting and personality for Christina if you’ve read the books… Her beauty is an added bonus to viewers. I’ve not seen her other films but it seems to me you are basing your opinion of her off of one which is unfair, although that is your right. She was the best part in Divergent, also Peter and Theo but we all have opinions so whatev. lol

    @Yeah…: Bish you cray af! Paragraphs tho? You must have been pissed af if a pic of her on JJ could inspire all that! LMAO

    Yeah... Says:

    @Teenaaa: No, actually, if you had read closely I mention THREE films. I’ve also seen her in “The Brave One,”No Reservations,” and “Californication.” She can’t act. I read the books and I didn’t think she embodied Christina at all, but then she was in the movie for like ten minutes so maybe she will get better…. I doubt this, however, because she’s been working in movies for seven years now and I think did some theatre in high school, yet she has not improved. I like her as person somewhat and actually admire the fact that she hasn’t fallen prey to the usual Hollywood antics. I think her parents are cool people too. I was rooting for her at the beginning because there aren’t very many black girls in Hollywood, but she puts zero effort into her work or gives me that impression. She was in a drama program once and dropped out. I think that was her biggest mistake. Everybody thinks differently. I respect the opinions on here. We’re cool.

    Yeah... Says:

    @Lawd: Yeah, sorry. I didn’t mean to rant. It’s just that acting is hard and even harder to make it. It’s frustrating to see a girl so pretty, get the easy way in and then put zero effort. Look at poor Lupita with her Oscar and Yale degree and she has yet to snag a role anywhere. It’s unfair and I always react to unfairness of any kind. It’s not about Zoe having tons of work lined up, it’s about her not doing anything with it. She has the looks and the connections to be a movie star if she wanted to, but her talent is nil and once she hits thirty the roles will begin to dry up. The doors of opportunity can be thrown wide open for you, but if you don’t do anything with it eventually they close again.

    @Yeah…

    “The doors of opportunity can be thrown wide open for you, but if you don’t do anything with it eventually they close again.”

    This is a very true statement and I agree that Zoe is just not a very good actress. I think you need to take a breather though. No point freaking out over something that is completely out of your hands. Like you said “eventually [the doors will] close again.”

    @Lawd

    Why is she “cray af?” It is her opinion, which she backed up with the movies she saw. Different people experience actors differently. She actually makes a good point about the obvious nepotism at play in Zoe’s success. It’s an interesting topic, no? One has to wonder if Zoe would have as many movies or the Christina role if she had been just plain Zoe Smith.

    @Hailey

    Zoe is a beautiful girl. I also think her lips are ridiculously sexy. Her mother, Lisa Bonet, is IMO one of the most beautiful women that has ever crossed a TV screen. She was absolutely exquisite and much more beautiful and talented than Zoe. She snagged Mr. Lenny Kravitz, the sexiest man alive. Lisa was perfect!
