Golfer Phil Mickelson Being Investigated for Insider Trading

Pro golfer Phil Mickelson is reportedly under investigation by the FBI and the Securities and Exchange Commission for possible insider trading.

Investigators are trying to figure out if Mickelson and Las Vegas gambler William Walters may have traded illegally on private information that was provided by billionaire investor Carl Icahn, according to Reuters.

The investigation is centering on suspicious trades in Clorox Co. options just days before Icahn announced that he was accumulating a 9.1% stake in the company.

Phil, 43, is one of the top golf players in the world, basically second in fame and recognition to Tiger Woods. He has won forty-two events on the PGA tour, including the Masters three times.

most of our politicians and many other powerful people regularly inside trade and they are making a big deal out of this?, just as with Martha Stewart
what a joke

Overe the years, I have enjoyed watching Phill Mickelson on the Pga Golf events. I do not believe, that Phill would do anything that would shed a dark light on him or his family, I wish Phill the best, and pray
that this is not true. As one comment said a lot of politicians have
done insider trading. why doesent the FBI look at them? Like
always the media blows this up to make dumb news.

Uh oh, I meant to say, once these guys have you in their sights, it’s hard to duck. Good luck Phil, I think this is bullsh*t.
