Justin Bieber Gives an Apology After Video of His Racist Joke is Released!

Justin Bieber has apologized following the release of a video featuring him telling a racist joke when he was 15-years-old.

“As a young man, I didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt,” the 20-year-old singer posted in a statement on Twitter.

Justin continued to say, “I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake. I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again.”

    As if..

  • HereWeGoAgain

He apologized because he couldn’t hide behind the ‘people will always try and bring me down and spread lies, believe the truth, beliebers’ thing he always responds with when she gets arrested or “investigated” by the police. There’s valid proof of this incident so he ‘had’ to apologize to save face. Judging by how it was written, I doubt a PR rep did it, but at some point this ‘man’ will need to write his own apologies instead of having his mother or father do it…or you know, this ‘man’ could just grow up. That works too.

  • No need to apologize

It was several years ago..why bring it out now! So what people have said worse and when you are 15 years old there is a difference between then and now! Why apologize why not have the person who released it apologize for doing this to Justin! He did grow up recently and he is. Now not involved I. These silly video ! Why bring it out now ! Why is the person who released it not in trouble! He should apologize for it.as if 15 year olds don’t make fun of people! Between this and Silver Mr Clipper
Audio , they should make a new law that says that all audio tapes and videos no worries about privacy anymore!

  • S

This story is a huge crock of shit. He just put out a new single. Read between the lines you idiots.

  • Pikes

Paula Dean should bake him a cake.

  • foul

omg. they pulled that old N-joke video. the usual reaction. the lame excuse. stinks like plot. now all them Ns like him again and buy into his white hip hop sh*t?

  • HereWeGoAgain

@No need to apologize: So stop, just stop. The more you say, the more you embarrass yourself. You sound just as ignorant as he did. 15 years old is not 5 years old, he was old enough to know better. It’s people like you, people who excuse this type of behavior, that results in these kids making even worse decisions. 15 years old, 16 years old, 20 years old, I don’t care…he said that comment around some friends, but if he had said it in front of people who didn’t take his sh*t, he could get his a__ kicked or worse. Kids (and adults) like him say stuff because they think they’re invincible but for every action there’s a reaction. The fact is, whether it’s words or actions, Justin has NOT grown up. If he had, it wouldn’t have gone from making hateful “jokes” to peeing in a bucket that someone had to clean out at a restaurant to driving under the influence, and all the other crap he keeps getting himself into. He has not showed “growth” at all.

  • HereWeGoAgain

@No need to apologize: Actually the more I think about your comment the more my reply was pointless because you’re probably just as racist and ignorant as he is… and you always will be.

  • Hey

Yeah, but your mom was an adult 4 years ago and she was encouraging the bad behavior. Is mama bieber still a racist a-hole? Plus some kid kept telling bieber to stop. When he told the first black father joke the kid say “that’s just mean and ignorant!” And then when beiber begins to tell his second joke the kid practically begs beiber not to say it. So why did that kid know it was wrong but beiber didn’t? He is a joke and trying to save his failing career. Vanilla ice is better than bieber.

  • sillyme

I’m just so tired of this, forcing people to apologize for things they said years ago. And, he was a kid at the time. Geez. Barack Obama was never asked to apologize when he referred to his grandmother as a “typical white person” in a speech. And, Sharpton and Jackson have never had to apologize for their remarks against whites and Jews.

And, I don’t even like Justin. But, how many of us have said something among our friends that we wouldn’t want to be made public. Probably all of us. Well, this is what the age of Obama has brought. Everyone is a racist – oh, except for Democrats in good standing, of course.

  • Wow

@sillyme: Wow, you’re an idiot. Yes, silly you.

  • Sasha

    @HereWeGoAgain:

He apologized years ago right after it happened.

  • Wow

@sillyme: AND the difference is that Sharpton, Obama, Jackson, etc. are all PUBLIC SPEAKERS and make no apologies because they say what they mean and mean what they say. That’s what they do. They speak their thoughts publicly. Justin made that video while he was filming his documentary for a movie that he only had because a black person (Usher) helped jump-start his pathetic career. Maybe if Justin said it publicly it would be different… granted, he’d still be an ignorant racist little idiot, but at least he would be publicly honest instead of saying what he says and then issuing a fake apology. Like the person above you said…everyone in that room knew Justin was wrong, and they’re all his age. Soo ‘he was only 15′ my a__, and “we all say stuff we don’t mean”, my a__, Justin is ignorant, straight up.

  • anonymous

Its too late to apologize. True star men dont put others down. He’s asexual.

  • Sayer

    Douche

  • Gina

Well, at least he apologized unlike Louis Tomlinson from One Direction who clearly doesn’t give a crap. Say what you want about Justin’s idiocy, I know he’s not racist. With Louis, I have yet to see proof to the contrary.

  • Derek

You should be able to laugh at this, there are jokes about all ethnicities and religions. I’ve heard far more “racists” jokes told by black people about white people.
    e.g.
How do white guys satisfy their wives?
    They hire a pool boy.

  • Tired

Ratchet apology from a ratchet individual. #justsaying

  • Mrs. Gaston

what an idiot. watching the tape, someone obviously knew the joke was inappropriate and he told him not to say it. i don’t care how hold he was then or how old he is now – he is very immature!

  • LOL

@Derek: Nothing like combating ignorance with more ignorance. A joke about white people being rich against a joke about chasing black people with a chainsaw and using a derogatory “nickname”, har har har. You should be oh so proud of yourself. Also, are those black people public figures? I’m sure you’ve also heard them say it publicly without apologizing for their honest joke. Bieber, the little punk a** b*tch, said it amongst friends (who told him NOT to say it) while in the process of doing a documentary movie, he’s a public figure AND he (fake) apologizes only after getting caught because he can’t stand by his own joke.

  • allison

    He who has not sin….
He was a stupid arrogant 15 yr old. Now he is a arrogant 20 year old but he is not stupid enough to do that again.
At least he did not say IF I have offended anyone like some do when giving an apology.
Now the big question is why did TMZ release this now? What’s their angle?

  • Nahbro

@allison: nah, he’s still stupid at 20…he keeps proving that one.

  • P

Why are white people afraid of cameras? ……

  • Ha

“I am a man now” pffftttthaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaa!

  • Rasheed Spence

@Hey: sounds like someone have a shitty life.. calm down bro you sound angry!

  • M

Such a well written apology… for the most part, you know he never wrote that.

With all the crap he has done since he is a “man” now, I really want to know when he turned that because he still acts like am idiot.

  • Milo

    @sillyme:

Always laugh when racists try to convince themselves that “everyone is racists” to give themselves false comfort that their views are normal.

I am not racist in the slightest. I have never told a racist joke and I don’t say the N word. Why would I want to say it? IMO people who use it, black white Hispanic Asian, are of small intellect. You never hear anyone smart throwing around such language.

  • Jan

Justin and all his enablers disgust me. He is an overpaid, over tattooed, shirtless, droopy pants jerk. That is all in the present time at 20 yrs old. Hopefully, he will be a former teen idol in the near future.

  • Lel

    LMAO THIS PR STATEMENT
    you’re done kid.

  • Jen

@Lel: Pretty sure his parents wrote this. It’s too smart for Bieber but too flawed to be professionally written.

  • Teeter

    @sillyme:
Was he “forced”? Who “forced” him to apologize? He was 15, hardly 5; and he knew it was inappropriate because someone in the background told him not to say it. What 15 year old doesn’t know it’s not okay to say that word? How can you defend ignorance?
