Shailene Woodley Says 'Fault in Our Stars' Scenes Felt 'So Real'

Shailene Woodley stops to take some photos with fans and sign autographs as she heads out of her hotel on Sunday afternoon (June 1) in New York City.

Earlier that morning, the 22-year-old actress was seen doing some shopping and walking around the East Village in her favorite shoes.

The day before, Shai donned a hoodie and some comfy clothes as she arrived at her hotel from the airport.

“They were amazing,” Shailene recently told Parade about her emotional scenes for The Fault in Our Stars. “One of them was this eulogy scene and Ansel [Elgort] was sitting there with pale makeup on and even though he was off screen, he was crying with me or he was locked into my eyes, and to have him in that position and to see him in that vulnerable state was really emotional because it felt so real.”

She continued, “And the gas station scene where Ansel had to cry and lose himself, I just remember being there for him and that’s something really special about the way we work together, we can both be present for each other.”

The Fault in Our Stars hits theaters on June 6!

FYI: Shailene is wearing Gucci sunglasses.
