    Here comes the haters.

Who will Gwen play? The female chewbacca. She’s 6 “3″.

  • winter

Brianne of tarth gonna rock the galaxy!

  • MFBO

    Great news !

  • OK

@Sayer: Who will Lupita play, a black alien man?

Gwendoline is awesome and perfect for SW

  • mary

So cool for both of them. Gwendoline sure seems to have a wonderful career in front of her. First, The Hunger Games, now Star Wars. Yeah, GO BRIENNE!!

  • Fercat

They had better not turn Gwen into a Wookie.

  • Sayer

    @OK: You’re a moronic racist, low life.

  • troll

Wonder which one landed the role of Jabba the Hut.

  • lol

but news of Lupita being attached to Star Wars already came out before?

  • OK

    @Sayer: I’m not white. I’m a fan of Gwen’s. What’s racist about what I said?

  • Gwen

Gwen was in an action movie. Star wars director had to be begged to hire lupi. His first choice cast announced. CAA and PR work.

  • Nathane

Lupita is overrated. And I bet she wont even have a proper role. That awful actor from Girls will also be in this movie too. Its going to suck now that Disney owns Star Wars. Funny how people were complaining about Natalies, Ewans and Hayden’s acting years ago but these new actors they have are going to suck. These people are not even good looking, Atleast Hayden and Natalie and Ewan were hot. Only the new fans of Star Wars hated the preqauls. Losers.

I don’t like that Lupita gets shoehorned in like SLJ did, just because she is trendy (black) right now. Sucks.

The only good thing about it is she is the first black woman in Star Wars, that’s cool, I just am tired of fawning over Lupita. The 12 Years is a Slave is pretty much propaganda and done completely by foreigners.

  • Annabelle

Wow, so many racist comments here, in this day and age… so crazy.
She is just an actress folks! Her performance was amazing, no matter what the subject of the film was. Please judge her on her performances and not on the colour of her skin. It is just entertainment. And to be honest, think this SW needs a bit of femininity abd colour!

  • Gwen

This is getting old. We think she is not talented equals racism? Her 10 minute performance in 12YAS was okay. She did not even sound American in the movie. There are many better black actresses for SW.

  • star wars fan

was going to watch the film in theaters but now because Lapita just going to pirate it Now…all of you can say I’m a racist or whatever you want I don’t care the fact is she’s ugly the woman is a goblinI don’t care I don’t fall for the hype

  • greg

agree with you 100 percent Star Wars fan she is ugly

  • sandra

@greg: Talking about your ugly self, both Gwen & Lupita are gorgeous women.

  • sandra

@star wars fan: Quite frankly nobody cares whether you watch Star Wars and as i said to your other troll she is a gorgeous woman maybe you should take a look at yourself before making unnecessary comments

  • sandra

@Gwen: and you know this how that Lupita begged the director of Star Wars for a part ? stop talking shit. She was offered this part before the Oscars and the reason for the delay was to do with shedule.

  • sandra

@Annabelle: I wouldn’t even try these people think they’re experts at acting when they clearly don’t have a clue.

  • sandra

@Gwen: Yes there are great black actresses but not all of them have won the Oscar to me you either have not watched the movie or you don’t know what true acting is all about, it takes a lot a skill to put in that kind of emotion and power in that role and for the record even Michael Fassbender who i think is a fantastic actor had to up his game because he knew what he was up against a great actress with tremendous skill, he himself said it.

  • Naddie

Lupita is beautiful and I’m happy for her.
That said, I agree that she’s a bit overrated and I don’t like the dirty tricks that her PR is using, especially their lobbying for her to replace every other woc of the entertainment industry throwing a shade at other black actresses in some articles.
She’s a kenyan Jennifer Lawrence, both equally overrated and with fanbases that can stan hard.
Winning an oscar doesn’t mean you’re the best actress of the world or the most versatile one, that’s dumb Sandra. Many actors won an oscar for a role they did well but they had a nonexistent career after that because they sucked in other movies . Many never won an oscar but it doesn’t mean they’re not talented actors and can’t have a better career than many who did.

I think I’d support her a bit more if I knew she had worked her ass off like other black actresses did and that have more works in their credits and who had to settle for little roles for a long time before getting a real chance to be successful. But she has only one project in her list. She undeniably is a lucky and privileged girl who grew up in a country that is mostly black and she comes from a rich family that made it so she has and enviable education and could access to opportunities that the average African woman will never ever get.

  • sandra

@Naddie: Did i say she was the best actress in the world! Please get your fact straight before talking dumb. It amazes me when people come out with things like (i don’t like it when her PR plays dirty tricks seriously really!!!

I don’t see her PR anywhere lobbying for her to take over woc roles, people want to see her in roles because they are feed up with dark skinned people not being represented and because a lot of actresses that win the Oscar ie woc end up doing tv work example Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis who didn’t win, Taraj P Henson, Gabby Sidibe and the list goes on.

Throwing shade on other black actresses really!! you haven’t got a clue what your talking about, she has been behind the camera directed a documentary starred in a tv show called Shuga just because she has only been credited for one movie doesn’t mean that she hasn’t worked hard to get where she is as for her being from a rich family. .

I don’t see people making a big deal about Gwyneth Paltrow who won the Oscar and all these other privileged white actresses who are getting roles left right and centre but you want to make a big deal about a black actress that is getting more attention then others!!.
