Penelope Cruz: Acting is 'the Beauty of Risk & Facing the Unknown'

Penelope Cruz arrives on the set of her upcoming film Ma Ma on Wednesday (June 4) in Madrid, Spain.

The 40-year-old actress changed into a dress in her trailer as she waited to film new scenes.

“Acting interests me a great deal more than playing someone very much like myself. The further away she is from me, the more possibilities that offers as an actress. That’s acting: the beauty of risk, facing up to the unknown, placing yourself in the skin of someone you invite into your life for a time, someone who isn’t you.” Penelope told Variety about the role in this film being one that interests her.
