Demi Lovato Brings Awareness to Mental Illness at Jed Foundation Gala 2014

Demi Lovato poses next to honoree Margaret Kramer during the 2014 Jed Foundation Annual Gala held at River Pavillion inside the Jacob Javitz Center on Thursday night (June 5) in New York City.

The 21-year-old musician spoke on stage during the event about Margaret, who received the Jerry Greenspan Student Voice of Mental Health Award.

This is an annual award honoring a student who is reducing prejudice around mental illness, raising awareness of mental health problems on campus, and encouraging help-seeking among their peers.
