Usher on Justin Bieber's Recent Troubles: 'Success Comes with a Price'

Usher takes the cover of Nylon Guys magazine’s June/July 2014 looking very fine.

Here’s what the 35-year-old The Voice judge had to share with the mag:

On advice to Justin Bieber: “I gave every bit of advice and always told him it was up to him if he really wanted this. Now that he has it, as an adult, it’s his to manage. Do I turn my head in shame based off of what I see, what I know? Nah, I don’t because it’s all part of life’s process. Am I in it with him? Yeah. It’s unfortunate. I hate some of the things I hear. Is it all true? I don’t know. But I will tell you this: Success comes with a price. Every person that has grown up, grows through something. It ain’t just perfect from the beginning.”

On his fans reaction to his music: “In all honesty, I give one sh*t. I do hear them — that’s why I say one sh*t. I do give a sh*t, but not two sh*ts. Two sh*ts is a lot. I care enough to make sure they understand that I’m making it for them, but I’ve got to be true to where I am.”

On being shaped as a musician: “Artist development made me who I am. Somebody took the time to help me find what it is that works for me as an entertainer and who I am as a music maker.”

Boring “artist.” And looks like a monkey. Real arrogant, too, which is mind-boggling, since he looks like a chimpanzee.

Ignoring the racist above ^^ as well as Usher’s comments, because it’s obviously this interview was conducted before Biebs’ latest video leaks.

I’m glad he does recognize that to a “certain degree” you do have to care what the fans think. If the fanbase is not engaged then they lose interest and….. there goes album sales. At the same time you can’t please everybody and I’m sure it’s difficult to balance putting an album together that you really want to make but at the same time please his fans.

I love that racist folks always say that blacks look like monkeys. We’re here to stay just like you so get used to it. That being said I think he’s so handsome

    Joss Says:

Why was Paula Deen and Donald Sterling punished. Why shouldn’t Bieber receive some kind of punishment? What Bieber said was more horrendous but Usher is ready to give him a pass just because Bieber is his meal ticket. Usher is a sellout.
