Robin Wright: Washington, D.C. is More Corrupt & More Sleazy Than Hollywood

Robin Wright goes all white for the Los Angeles Confidential magazine’s latest issue.

Here’s what the 48-year-old House of Cards star had to share with the mag:

On her character in House of Cards: “My character on House of Cards is Lady Macbeth to Francis’s Richard III. If there’s a barrier, the barrier simply needs to be removed.”

On Washington, D.C. vs Hollywood: “DC is more corrupt that Hollywood. It’s more sleazy than Hollywood.”

Kevin Spacey, on working with Robin: “Robin is always searching for the unusal angle into a scene or an emotion. She deserves all the praise that has come her way for her creation of Claire Underwood.”

Another uneducated “star” making silly comments…

  • Diedre

Pamela Anderson needs to take note. This is how you stay sexy.

  • lets see here

Sooooo i dont know how i feel about her dissing my hometown…I’m assuming that she’s talking about the politics that go on behind the scenes and not DC itself.

  • ForMe

I’ve never heard of this magazine. I like how she’s an expert on D.C politics after playing a fictional character.

  • hellofather

@lets see here: Actors do research and the pre-production of a movie or a show takes months. They’re not experts but sure they’re more informed than you and me. Of course is a general comment about corruption on a politic level, not about the city. They filmed in Baltimore for 6 months each season, they have real tv journalists and correspontants, and people who works in politics IRL as advisors of the show. And last but not least: if you work in politics or related to, as I do, you know that the show is more than accurate. Trust me.

  • No

@hellofather: A House majority whip kills another politician is accurate? Sure. It’s a good show, but in no is it realistic. Doing research doesn’t make them more informed or enlightened than anyone else.

  • hellofather

@No: Oh please now you’re being a troll. Of course isn’t realistic the killing it’s a SHOW! not a documentary. (anyway, history has taught that certain events happen not only in the imagination of show runners…i.e. Vince Foster anyone?
But I guess you’re one of those haters with too mach free time on their hands trolling around gossip sites and being polemic as a way to entertain your certainly sad life.

  • No

@hellofather: Stop being an a$$. You just said the show was realistic. I point out to you that it isn’t and you insult me. BTW Bill Clinton didn’t kill Vince Foster. FVCK YOU B!TCH!

  • Dodger

@hellofather: you sound like a moron or her pr hack,, she’s not an expert at anything political. I work in party politics in DC and sure it has it’s moments, but the show is just an enjoyable fantasy, far from the truly boring reality of politics. Wish it were that glamorous, LOL!

  • Hi

Amazing that she can say Washington is more sleazy than Hollywood, I guess she never looked into Kevin Spacey’s past….it’s pretty bad
